I’m sure this question is answered somewhere else, but my search terms weren’t bringing up anything useful so I seem to be ignorant about how to find it; can someone point me to one or more discussion(s) regarding how to trade these stocks listed on foreign exchanges? I’ve been investing through brokerages for several years but haven’t ever bought an internationally traded company. Thanks for your help, and patience.
P.S. I did find the ”Foreign Investments” category but a quick search there showed what appeared to be mostly newsletter analyses. I didn’t see anything on how to buy a company on the NZX, for instance.

I think you won’t be able to buy a company on the NZX. I’ve never seen them listed with any US brokerage. Here in NZ, you can only buy stocks through a broker, you’d probably have to open an account with a NZ broker to buy on the NZX.
The ASX is a different story, I can buy stocks easily on the ASX in my Interactive Brokers account. I just have to convert my $USD to $ASD and then use those dollars to purchase ASX stocks.

Sunday I went on Interactive Brokers Website and left a message to the effect that I would appreciate some information on minimums to open a Traditional or Roth account with them as well as commissions charged. Asked that they contact me with the information by email. To date (Wed), I have not heard from them. Are they always so unresponsive or am I too impatient?
