I would like to suggest that there are many people on this thread that have never been in a position of being a Chief Executive of a significant sized company. As such we are bouncing around with thoughts of power and not recognizing the position of CEO’s of the companies we invest in. These management personnel fully understand their position and process and do not look favorably upon critiques of non management people that do not have and can not have the most current and involved information. A law suit I was involved in called such people inter-meddlers. I suggest and believe we should support these management people or sell our investments. We have no way of being qualified, regardless of our expertise, because we simply do not know what is on the table. Please use restraint and ride with management or get out.
Warner, I respectfully disagree with you. Dr. KSS, and by proxy all of us, is not writing to the CEO of Pfizer attempting to suggest a different approach to the marketing of Viagra. His email depicts knowledge and insight of how Dalbavancin could potentially be utilized. I was on the executive staff of 2 publicly traded companies, both of which were much larger than Durata Therapeutics. DRTX is relatively small; less than $.5B market cap and 106 employees per Yahoo Finance. I would submit that they are not so arrogant that they would dismiss or take offense at the strategy offered by Dr. KSS. In my “former life” we would have welcomed these recommendations and suggestions with open arms.
Frank
Hi Frank, sorry, I was referring to our letters to Beni etc. and just quickly saw a Durata letter being formed and not grasping the content. This letter is very appropriate. My humble apologies. Warner
