Hi Travis, I agree with you that Arcos Dorados is a long-term speculation on a really well-run company that has a fantastic brand. It almost seems good enough to make the Irregulars Speculative List? I must admit that I view the lists as an indication of what you consider to be the ‘best’ Core, Speculative or ‘to watch’ stocks. I greatly value your opinion, and your lists tell me that AWRE is a better Speculative prospect than ARCO, and TPRE is a stock to watch whereas Nagacorp is one to speculate on. Your honest and unbiased views truly makes you a precious gem in the world of stock newsletters – I’d be lost without you.
I need to look at awre post-dividend, and the spreadsheet probably needs some updating as we’ll. Thanks for the kind words (and the reminder about the spreadsheet), and please don’t let my opinions influence you unduly — I’m afraid I have been quite wrong about companies from time to time.

Last I heard from Myron he was working on some new pieces for us earlier in the week, but hasn’t submitted anything in a while — hopefully he will be able to rejoin us soon.
Thanks Travis. AWRE is extremely oversold – the last time it had a weekly RSI under 30 was in December 2008. None of the other Core or Speculative stocks come close to this sort of level.
Although not in the Tables, Africa Oil (which I hold) has also become very oversold, and I am interested to know if you are optimistic in AOI’s prospects.
Travis, thanks for your walk through of these stocks and explaining your reasoning of why you invest into them.
Could you do the same with your own walk through of our present US and world wide economic trends and how they portend for the next 6 to 12 months.
The recent sell off was due in my opinion but while I am modestly optimistic about the next 12, I would appreciate your opinions and insight, realizing none of us likely will call it exactly right.
