Hey all – my first post here – great website!

I used to be a big fan of Bullmarket newsletter – how they suggest a stock, justify the reason behind the buy, and then hold your hand even when the stock goes down 30% just to get back up 80% year later.
Then suddenly this summer – newsletter got closed and noone took over. The website is now down.
Wanted to know if someone else knows another similar newsletter – with the buys / sells and holdings for 6-24 months periods.

Thanks!

I saw your comment and registered with Gumshoe to echo your sentiments. Please keep me informed if you find anything.

I was with bullmarket.com for several years and got others to join with me. Then one day they announced they were closing up shop and none of them were getting back into the business. It was odd and at the same time very, very disappointing. I followed many of their recommendations with very, very few regrets. ALL of us were sorely disappointed when they made the announcement.

And like you, I have yet to find a service anywhere near as competent. I have tried several online financial newsletters and not one of them has had the record these guys had. So, I am STILL looking for something that worked as well for the buck. I’ve found many that either charge high fees or maybe focus on precious metals and the like.

The two I am trying out, and seem to work are Bryan Perry’s Cash Machine and also Safe Money Report put out by the Weiss Research group.

There have been some really good “hits” – where the stocks have appreciated amazingly. But these have been outweighed by the duds. And many, many that are in between where stock appreciation has been small or non-existent.

The problem is that these two don’t follow the same business model as Bullmarket.com. Bullmarket.com would seek out undervalued stocks. The Cash Machine and the Safe Money Report I’m in now don’t necessarily do that.

    Thanks!

Same comment Gary and Alex – I was sooo disappointed when they dissolved – I figure some brokerage house just made the key people an offer they couldn’t refuse – after all they were very successful. I now am lost on getting good advice.

Alex had asked to let him know when I’ve found something. Unfortunately, the answer is no. I did find something you might be interested in. I have yet to personally try it. It’s called Investment Quality Trends. You can google it. They follow and recommend dividend stocks. They have a “top 10” (they follow hundreds) that they recommend. The service been rated pretty high in the past.
I tracked down one of the key players (I’ve forgotten his name). He joined or started a capital investment firm I think up in the northeast.
