Ruby-A is derived from the herbal sweetener, Stevia. Not sure who holds a patent.

haven’t gotten it yet, but guessing it has something to do with Stevia sweetener

Mr Williams indicates that the company holds Patent #20110X858867.
Bad information!!. If you go to
    http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/PTO/srchnum.htm
to do a patent search, you will be advised from the governments website that the patent is 7 digits long. Try to find the patent using any combination of those number and you won’t find it.

could it be Coke or Cargill? according to this article, they jointly did 24 patent applications dealing with Stevia

I am thinking it may be ARNA. A starting place while walking through the woods might be an article put up in SeekingAlpha. http://seekingalpha.com/article/1174671-what-do-stevia-first-and-arena-pharmaceuticals-have-in-common

  6. modernrock says:

It appears to be PCRTF. Sunny Verghese is the man.
