Before joining Stock Gumshoe, I read a teaser on a company that can convert natural gas to gasoline and other products. I did not subscribe to the teaser service, But did a little my own sleuthing, and I would like to share what I found and get some informed feedback from anyone who might be willing to give it.

Briefly from memory the teaser stated:
A small US tech company had a patented technology that would enable conversion of natural gas to gasoline and a wide variety of other compounds at a very economical price…at $ 35 per barrel crude, the process was still viable.

Further, the company had a test production plant operating in Louisiana that would soon be selling that would prove the economics of the process.

I found a small Silicon Valley tech company specializing in nanotechnology that fit the bill. But they are private, no way for little guys to invest. And they are pretty much a research/tech company that could not get anything to mass market.

But then I found that they made large deals with two entities that
are investable. One is a multinational chemical company, and the
other is a European company that builds factories. So putting two and two together, it looks like this tech company has lined up
two big guys as partners, one to build production factories, the other to operate the plants and buy the output which is not directly sold to consumers or distributors near the point of production.

Just after I found out this stuff, oil prices collapsed.

The companies involved:
SILURIA…Private Silicon Valley tech firm with nanotechnology patents
BRASKEM (BAK) …NYSE-traded Brazilian chemical firm. Stock is in the dumper with the rest of Brasil.
LINDE AG (LNEGY, LNAGF) German industrial company, one of their specialities is in building gas factories. German shares about $ 200, US ADRs $ 20.

Way buried in their annual report, Linde acknowledged the relationship with Siluria. But you had to get out your magnifying glass to find it.

Anybody got anything on these ? Have not pulled the trigger on either BAK or LNEGY
