Hendrix-In your readings have you ran across PENC?-Pen Inc., formerly Applied Nanotech Holdings, Inc., is engaged in nanotechnology research and development business. The Company’s nanotechnology research involves performing contract research and development services for others to develop products and materials for new applications, and then leveraging this research by applying it to other similar applications in other industries. The Company also develops intellectual property (IP) around its products and technologies. The Company develops five technology platforms: nanosensor technology; nanocomposites, based on carbon nanotube composites; thermal management materials; nanoelectronics applications, and electron emission activities, primarily in the display area. On August 27, 2014, the Company, together with its wholly owned direct subsidiaries, PEN Inc. and NanoMerger Sub Inc., completed its previously announced combination (the Combination) with NanoHolding Inc. and Carl Zeiss, Inc.,,,which is listed at a strong buy from link provided by Doug in #18: http://www.superstockscreener.com/ PENC-3/30/15 filed a NT10-K stating : The significant change in results of operations is caused by the business combination completed during the last fiscal year reported in a filing of Form 8K on September 2, 2014. As reflected in the From 10Q filed on November 14, 2014, in that combination Nanofilm Holdings Inc. was the accounting acquiror and this significantly changes the results of operations as compared to the prior fiscal year. The delay in obtaining the information for the Form 10K also means that registrant cannot quanitify at this time the changes that will be reported in its filing. Best-Ben

hendrixnuzzles; As Patricia suggested, I would love to hear what Irregular Carbon Bigfoot would have to say . He last posted on the following (now semi dead) thread. I’ll post a reply there with a link to this thread.

Never heard of them. I’ve been pretty ordinary in my past investments, never did much in technology or biotech til recently. In both bio and tech the science is so complex and moving so fast I’m pretty insecure without someone like Dr KSS to explain things and give a credible opinion. I’ll take a look at this, but I really do not think my opinion will be any better than anyone else’s.

    WAITING FOR BIGFOOT
    Hi All,
I have solicited Mr Bigfoot’s attention and opinion. I welcome it.

I went through a few of his posts, and you may imagine that I have anxiety as I wait for his evaluation of Siluria. However, I am not at all concerned, and wish to go on record saying so before his post, should one ever arrive.

Let us suppose he pronounces the idea as rubbish. That will be his opinion, as opposed to the opinion of dozens of equally or more qualified chemical engineers and scientists
who are working at Linde, Saudi Aramco, and Braskem, who have actually built an operating plant in La Porte, Texas ! And this is after six months of due diligence by Linde
on the technical and economic aspects of the process. Linde is certainly not short on qualified chemical engineers, neither is Braskem. Also I would venture to suggest that Mr. Bigfoot is not an expert in the field of nanotechnology, which is the crux of the innovation at Siluria.

The Saudi Aramco Energy Venture investment was done by a company whose mission is to invest in companies OF STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE TO ITS PARENT, Saudi Aramco.

Of course, even existence of the first plant does not ensure that Linde or Braskem will be a good stock investment. But the feasibility of the process is the issue at hand, and I submit that this has been established. It is another question whether an investment in Braskem or Linde is a good one; but at this point, the feasibility of implementing the technology is no longer an issue.

    Best to everyone

Hendrix – I found this micro-blog tonight because of a comment on another thread. Thank you for starting it. I won’t be able to contribute much, if anything, but I will be following it.

And thank you for all of your comments on the other threads. You are a GREAT addition to the group.

  6. hendrixnuzzles says:

Why thank you very much !

    4/3 Long BAK @ 7.07
    4/3 Long LNEGY @ 20.71

Gonna wait a little on AMFW

My portfolio is kind of stuck lately but my “psychic income” is higher than ever thanks to SG.
    Glad to be here.

This thread is getting on the long side and there are several digressions that may be tedious and irrelevant to a lot of readers, I am reposting the critical link to the April 1st newsrelease:

    http://www.wkrg.com/story/28695467/siluria-technologies-announces-successful-start-up-of-worlds-first-demonstration-plant-to-directly-convert-natural-gas-to-ethylene

Also for newcomers to the thread I recommend Siluria technologies website, there is good information on the process , the commercial applications, and their prior press releases.

Everyone should do their own DD but just want to mention that Braskem was implicated in the Petrobas scandal and may take further abuse on account of it. They already took plenty, the stock cratered to below $ 7.00. So far Braskem claims no wrongdoing. Another piece of info I found in a news article was that Braskem has relied heavily on crude from Petrobras as their feedstock. This may be a short-term problem with the turmoil at PBR, but long term it is all the more reason for BAK to go to the Siluria technology on a large scale.

Long BAK @ 7.07 (sold PBR for the cash)
    Long LNEGY

Hey how about this…as mentioned above, new Siluria board member Paula Reynolds. Mrs. Reymolds also serves as a director for Delta Airlines. In 2012 Delta Airlines purchased an oil refinery outside Philadelphia.

You heard it hear first: I predict that Delta Airlines will be the first air carrier to install a Siluria Technologies retrofit from Linde to produce jet fuel.

    Long LNEGY

$LNEGY Ken Fisher buys 4.6 million shares of one of hendrixnuzzles reccomendations.
Fisher purchased 4,626,364 shares of Linde AG, a 0.18% portfolio weight.

  12. hendrixnuzzles says:

Great psyhic income for me. I am all puffed up. And get this… Ken Fisher and I have
exactly the same portfolio weight devoted to LNEGY !!!

  13. hendrixnuzzles says:

What’s very nice about the situation is that you can do research about Linde and Braskem but unless onless you dig down to page 226 in the Linde annual report, or happen to see a press release in the Houston newspaper or an arcane oil industry trade publication, you get no idea why Ken Fisher or anyone else would be interested in these companies. So I suppose there’s time to accumulate some of them before the stampede starts.

  14. hendrixnuzzles says:

$LNEGY $BAK For those of you considering taking a position in Linde, or BAK ,my guess is that the adoption of this new process will be pretty fast, but we mean fast for negotiating, planning, and constructing or retrofitting complicated chemical, oil, and gas factories. So rapidity will be limited by the length of lead times needed for the negotiations and technical preparations, which in the case of major factories is doubtless fairly lengthy.
Maybe Mr. Bigfoot could help us on this…attention Carbon Bigfoot, if you see this could you help us out and tell us how long does it take to build an ethylene plant or implement a retrofit on an oil refinery ?

Siluria says they will be in full production on world scale ethylene plants by 2017-2018.

The worldwide use of ethylene in in the hundreds of billions of tons.

Siluria has stated that they are already working with clients for installations using this technology, so I have no doubt at all that we will start to see announcements gradually picking up in number and frequency, starting now. Siluria has been laconic on public statements but they have been completely on target and on time on all the public statements I have read. No sad stories, no delays, no excuses. On time and on budget and they do what they say they are going to do. The have stated that joint teams have been established with their partners for implementation of this technology. You can be sure that they are working on deals right now that will not be announced for several months.

  15. hendrixnuzzles says:

$LNEGY Siluria (wi) news article 10 days ago in Forbes sez Paul Allen of Vulcan Capital is now in Siluria and they intend an IPO for second half 2016. Expect announcement of “world scale” ethylene plant using their technology “in a matter of months.”

Long LNEGY. Wish I could buy SILURIA.

  16. hendrixnuzzles says:

$LNEGY $BAK Price update, one month later:

    $LNEGY 4/3 in at 20.71 5/8 close 19.84 -4.2%
    $BAK 4/3 in at 7.07 5/8 close 10.03 +41.9%

No news. Quiet before the storm, IMO.

  17. hendrixnuzzles says:

$BAK Braskem announcement that a very large ethylene plant in Mexico is coming on line.
No visible connection to OCM technology or Linde, mentioned previously.
