Psvena-Please contact me regarding your post 141. The calender is private and security access via myself is required to view. The other threads links (addresses) may be seen but require IRR membership to view. Please advise. Best2ALL!-Benjamin
Hi pockets. I contacted Travis to lock down ALL new Bio-threads after conversations whith Psvena. May you do the same? Psvena said that the calender is NOT viewable by public just the threads. I requested that Travis lock down all Bio-Threads created by HN, BH, you and myself from non-irregular access. Best2ALL!-Ben
Cheers!
Both URLs say I need permission.
Sorry – I forgot to “Share” it. Please try it again.
Looks great, thanks so much for setting this up!
Hi you are on to something good here I believe. Please continue. ,frank
Thanks Hi Pockets and DLH, you guys are amazing to me! If I may be of assistance, please advise. Best-Ben
The idea is that when a comment is made on any thread addressing a specific ticker, then that comment is simultaneously routed to a thread for that ticker? Seems like we would have quite a few threads. And if comments are being made on individual ticker threads, then when new comments come in automatically, we would have a problem with comments coming in out of context? However, if a way if found to setup a repository of organized information by ticker, then this would be invaluable. I think that it would have to be funded by those interested and (hopefully) be a profit center for the head Gummy.
Jack, I’m afraid it is beyond my ken, two neurons and one synapse to automate the updates.
I’m suggesting that some of our members volunteer to keep a few of their favorite stocks updated at least weekly. To make it easy for a volunteer, we could put, say, 5 stocks on one spreadsheet, one to a tab, each stock having its own URL in the format ” www. tinyurl.com/GSBT-ticker ” so that the master index would have to be accessed infrequently. (With TinyURL one can have multiple URLs for one address). In addition to the updates, each volunteer would be responsible for who is authorized to access the document.
DLH or I will volunteer to maintain the index and list of authorized people, and to set up templates for the volunteers. I have comments on about 50 stocks already recorded (current up to KSS leaving) which can be used to start populating the spreadsheets.
HiPockets…will be joining to help as soon as the second investment list is put together, probably only a few days away.
This is a very ambitious project. I am with you on this and will pick 3 – 5 tickers.
Jack, Hi Pockets, ALL- Lynn or Travis may be able to assist us in automating or simplifying this task by either providing us CSV file(s) or by providing each location (thread), comment (post), date and author. Best2ALL!-Benjamin
Great and bold initiative HiPockets. I have a list of ~375 stocks discussed and or mentioned from the last 15 months. Most have comments from KSS, JZ stoxx, Glen and others and some do not. It is the same list that I’ve provided to start the KSS dungeon but mind you it is a very “crude” excel spreadsheet for my own personal use and not sure if this is what we are after? I’ll be more than happy to send it to you (I still have your email) for review and whether anything can be done with it?
Yes, Frenchy, please send me your list. It would help if you would highlight in some way the ones that you feel should be monitored. Maybe the top 50 or so? ‘Preciate you!
sogiam- My understanding that the security for Google docs is based on email addresses. After setting up a document, for access to it one can choose (a) only the author can view, (b) anybody can view, (c) anyone with the link can view ,or (d) only specific people (controlled through email addresses) can view. An email address can be set up to (x) view only, (y) view and comment, or (z) view, edit or comment. Am I missing anything? Thanks.
Hi Pockets-I feel that you and OPP are much more adept with google docs than I am as I am old school having learned on Lotus 123 and later EXCEL programs . Please review the calender APP for security and levels of access and perhaps sign-up for the SGS BIO 2015 google calender if you are interested.
Regarding your/our current project of spreadsheets by KSS $TICKER’s, have you asked Travis if he can or shall provide you with CSV files of the Bio-threads that developers can manipulate and import to spreadsheets, thereby automating the task to reach our desired goal.
Lynn wrote me the following e-mail regarding restrictions to bio-threads:
Dear Ben:
We’re happy to restrict certain posts to Irregulars only–we just need the person who posted it to make the request.
I’ve made sure that your biotech calendar post is restricted to just Irregulars. If you have other posts that you want me to restrict, just let me know what they are.
Thanks!! Lynn Lynn Clark Stock Gumshoe http://www.StockGumshoe.com

Hi Pockets –
I have 32 stocks recommended by Dr, KSS. I would be happy to help if I thought, and you thought, I could contribute to this project. It is a great idea, and kind of overwhelming. I get daily updates on stocks via SA, and have other sources Fierce newsletters, et al. Let me know your opinion. I am old and have a very tough skin, so don’t worry about offending me.
jk
Thanks, John. You should receive my email address shortly. Let me know 5 or so stocks that you are interested in.
Hi Pockets –
Here are five stocks in which I am interested:
EXEL
HALO
PTLA
PARN
TROV
I thought these might be the least picked by others.
jk
ALL — I’ve received several requests for access to the spreadsheets, and have followed through. For the time being, though, everyone should have access since we are just getting started and there’s not much to steal. If I’m wrong in that, please let me know.
HiP, are you referring to the KSS DA MAN – google sheets? Index, first, buy opinions etc….Last updated in March?
my email is lululemon with an e instead of an o at me dot com.
Thank you, good night all! 🙂
No, Lulu, we are thinking about individual Google spreadsheets for each ticker, and a master spreadsheet with links to each of those spreadsheets. http://tinyurl.com/GSBTINDEX is the index sheet and http://tinyurl.com/GSBT-ATNM is a sample of a stock specific sheet. Both are a work in progress.
Hi Pockets, RE: #5 subpost , 2nd paragraph above- Would CSV file(s) from SGS be available to accomplish this project? Best-Ben
HP, are there supposed to be any stocks in these spreadsheets now? The reason I ask is
when I click on either of those URL’s, all I get is an open window that refers to “Helpful Hints”.
Regards,
Frank
I am glad someone else is asking this. I am feeling very technologically challenged, but determined to learn. Some of us may need some educating before we are finally useful here.
Sharon, still under construction, but you are seeing the First tab. You should see other links in blue on the second line next to the blue FIRST link.
Sogiam – I discussed the project with DLH briefly today. We are potentially looking at monitoring 500 stocks. Restricting the number to those covered, both positively or negatively, by Dr. KSS, and to those that HN winnows, brings it down to—what — maybe 100? Not counting the new ones that our group might want to monitor.
At an average of 5 stocks per spreadsheet, we are could be looking at 20 spreadsheets and 20 spreadsheet managers. Your idea is a good one, but the logistics of doing it on a frequent basis might kill it.
There is also the problem of comments made as a reply to a comment. The “sub-comments” are not in a contiguous chronological sequence. Reading or sorting through a CSV file would be tedious.
I use the notification emails for updating my records. All of the new comments from all of the microblogs are delivered to my inbox in chronological order and can easily be sorted by microblog. I have to delete the chaff, but it’s a lot faster than trying to find new info by scrolling up and down on a monitor screen. At this point in time, I think a similar process will work best for the new spreadsheets.
I’ve emailed Lynn about it. I know her job is extremely hectic at times, so I won’t ask for anything that would make extra work for her or for Travis.
HiPockets, In addition to helping you manage access and the index, needless to say, I’d love to take ATNM. Also ARTH, BLRX, FLKS, and ZFGN. Thanks!
