written by reader Stansberry alarming newsletter + offer?

By techmadagascar, May 30, 2015

Is it just me in whole USA receiving that offer?
Nesletter starts with: ”A Multi-Millionaire’s Personal Blueprint For Surviving the Coming Currency Collapse:
”This is what I’m doing to protect my family and my finances –
I recommend you do the same.”
Dear Fellow American,
Do you believe America’s financial problems from 2008 have been fixed?”
Actually here is a whole link: https://orders.cloudsna.com/chain?cid=MKT015071&eid=MKT060313&snaid=&step=start#/%23AST01662#AST01662
300 page book ”America 2020 Survival Handbook” suppose to educate everone interested how to survive through incoming demise of USD, which currency to buy, where to keep it, buy silver and gold, single investment that will thrive through crisis like that and so on. I mean it is pretty disturbing stuff in there.
I went in there to buy it but read that besides 5 bucks they will enrol me into $99.00/year program for newsletters. At that moment I gave up.
Did anybody buy this? Is it worth anything? I am surprised that nobody is commenting anything on main page in recent articles?
Regards,
Zack

After about 8 years of Stansberry, I have become numb to their spiels, first they terrify you into buying their newsletter, and thanks to Gumshoe, my suspicions get confirmed, the low price of $99 doesn’t matter, and then they change horses, introduce new fabulous peope, who have only made money, well like the new guy, Manpilly, and on it goes.
Some of teh others resurface on other newsletters. It chips away at your confidence. I learned the hard way.
There is better info out there..somewhere. Has to be.

There seem to be a lot of doom and gloomers out there at the moment. Have only had about a year of being terrorized by Stansberry – have they predicting the “end” for 8 years?

Many newsletters us the same technique: sell you the new letter cheap and then tell you it is not the best and you really need the upgrade or, preferably, the life-time service or the whole bundle of letters for $thousands.

Kevin, is there a link to download or something? Can you share a book?

Well, here I go as a new Gummischuher and I may be jumping in the deep end right from the get-go. The book you are talking about is “America 2020 – The Survival Blueprint”, by Porter Stansberry. I have been an international sales guy too busy to focus on investing, trying to run my various businesses. I have made a personal decision to be more proactive about our “Nut” moving forward. I am concerned about two main potentially looming events:
A major stock market adjustment/crash
A dollar currency crisis
Not knowing exactly where to start, I guess I started paying attention to blurbs coming from NewsMax which I am pretty sure lead me to Stansberry. I think the book and a year’s subscription only cost $49 and I was willing to spring for that. Oh, yeah. I see where the promotional video had Ron Paul in it. A few years ago he was my congressperson even though I am NW of Austin and he was in Houston. That was a long thin district (but I digress).
I have to say that I found the book substantive There was as much in there about old fashioned horse sense in investing as there was advice on how to prepare oneself for some bad things happening, like having silver coins dated before 1965 and where to get them, etc.
I received an easy-to-read digital copy that I read right away before the book even arrived. I’m not sure if I run afoul of any book rights if I make it available to new fellow investors. If you took my SGS name and added my state and a common “dot something” you might catch me directly. By the way, I live in the south. Nobody “helps” anybody down here. We hep ’em.
Since this is my first comment, can I pose a question to whomever?
In one of the Stansberry e-mails, a guy named David Eifrig (good German name) had a long discussion with recommendation on how to take advantage of the “Near Field Communication” blockbuster change that is supposed to start October. I actually followed a couple ideas which have proven to be good, ie Broadcom BRCM. This seems like a good direction to be heading as a new proactive investor. Does anyone have more good advice on this subject?
Thanks.

See I already flubbed up. I thought the comment would automatically insert my SGS handle. Oh, well….

I’m surprised the name Jim Rickards hasn’t popped up. He has the same type of book available, everything is doom and gloom. He has quite an impressive resume behind him and is also predicting the dollars demise and the problems that will follow.
