One of the wisest things we did last year was ride $CTIX shares up to a tripling, recognize a top, and exit. Shares have languished since then and are likely to continue to do so. A phase 3 briliacidin meeting is months overdue, Prurisol is in purgatory, and Kevetrin is mired in endless phase I dose iterations needlessly. The company lacks the independent board needed for NASDAQ uplisting, never mind the share price, and worthy would be directors veer off. Ehrlich and Menon run $CTIX like Kim Jong Un runs North Korea. It was in fact a fine investment a year ago, but now would be among the worst places to trust your capital in the biotech sector. Follow us on the biotech threads, where it comes up from time to time. I do track it and comment when there is news that might change one’s mind.
Agreed, horrific governance (note that current personal fave SRNE has terrific governance, with stock based compensation for independent directors very reasonable) Extremely responsible with capital (see burn rate and accumulated deficit compared to where they already are, wait until you see Sep. 10-Q)
Food for thought – re: Criteo (CRTO) a quote from Travis “I don’t think Apple’s support for ad blocking is going to materially change the advertising market” That may or may not be true, but, it is changing my mind to move from Windows to Apple, especially since I can’t stand windows 8. Below is a link to an article on Linkedin… very interesting.
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/apple-launching-search-engine-destroy-google-jason-calacanis
Ad blocking is available in most browsers and most operating systems, and has been available for both Windows and Mac browsers for a decade or more. The real change is allowing app developers to develop ad blocking software for the mobile Safari browser.
Ad blocking is gradually becoming a big issue for media companies and website developers — like yours truly — who depend on ads for revenue. I expect the monetization forces will continue to keep pace with the ad-blocking forces.
Lon toward end of July you will be able to upgrade your Win 8 or 7 version to Windows 10 at no cost if you do it within one year from release date. Solves considerable problems with 8. If your hardware will run it, it is worth a try.
Travis is absolutely correct in what he says about ad blocking, be aware however that you also may block some website features you desire if you are not careful in your settings.
Has anybody heard about that $4 stock to cure that eye disease Uvieitis? The Shah is pushing it in his Biotech stock newsletter. I know they’re working on it, but the company is in California and
Is ready to go. I guess it’s in Trial 3 and could be an orphan too. If you know what that company is, would you let me know? Thanks!
Harry –
The company is XOMA . It has several trials going on (EYEGUARD-A, EYEGUARD-B,EYEGUARD-US) that may help Uvieitis.
$MRIC np – Interesting this article came out a year prior to 1:40 R/S.
An October 2016 “analysis” is available to review/judge progress:
