I am a big fan of Aldo Leopold and feel this quote is appropriate for this group:
โ€œThere are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace.โ€
โ€• Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac
I would add, “that water comes from a faucet”. I remember spring houses and wells with hand pumps.

Graphene Oxide is the agent? You do know that would be CO or in other words Carbon Monoxide, a very dangerous gas to humans which binds to red blood cells and stops them from transporting Oxygen. It is probably converted rapidly to CO2 by stealing an O from H2O water. Just because something is theoretically possible does not necessarily
mean it is a good idea. Am I wrong? It seems to me there may be better ways to produce carbonated water,,, club soda, seltzer.

A private Spanish company and not really water related, but energy from your house plant. Brilliant. Could this become big …?

I found this: http://news.trust.org/item/20160421104800-3zeht/?source=dpagetopic

It is inside an article linked to a story about rainfall and diminishing harvests in North Korea. Can’t remember if it was here or at the Clubhouse. That said, I thought it of particular interest because of the Canadian references.

Congratulations to all. I’ve been trying to low-ball purchases for a couple of weeks, and now watching it run away. I do have 150K shares, but…

One day I’ll learn not to be a “dick for a tick” and just pay up on a stock that matches my conviction.

Ben, the one piece of surprising black ink in my play portfolio is CDNL. I am blinking at it with astonishment. I sold half when it doubled plus a little, and will let the rest run. It has earned it.
I gather you intend to hold for a long time… will look into VEOEY, and thanks for CDNL.

If the buyback results are large enough, will there necessarily have to be a reverse split?

Ben I just watched a small part of 6o Minutes and how injecting massive amounts of waste water is responsible, completely or otherwise, to the earthquakes in Oklahoma. You will find some of the story here: https://news.stanford.edu/2015/06/18/okla-quake-drilling-061815/

I haven’t the time right now, plus I am still visually limited re: how much time I can spend reading to look for the answer, therefore my question is: “why can’t this water be cleaned and reused”? I know it is highly saline, plus there are other impurities from the oil pumping/producing process, but I can hardly believe it can’t be cleaned and therefore eliminate the injection into the Arbuckle foundation.

The rest of you are much more intellectually able, and possibly know an answer.

All the best,

jk

Ben – I have a fairly healthy position in $CDNL, and have reviewed their web site, etc., which is one of the reasons for my query and the link. I thought that there may be something within the Cardinal Resources technology arena of immense interest to the oil industry. I didn’t want to dump a new project on you, and promise to do what I can re: research.

Any water whatsoever can be cleaned and re-used. It is all a matter of cost.
I think it far more important to stop polluting the clean fresh water we have that freely falls from the clouds.
A great deal of brine is often present along with the crude oil pumped from some strata and putting it back from where it came is a practical solution.
Oil is not found in underground lakes but rather in porous rock or in layered /striated rock like shale. Re-injecting water/brine under pressure can force more oil out of those layers in what is called fracking,,,fracturing. That is better than using fresh water. IMHO

I am all for clean water and cheap fuel. It is hard to have both at a reasonable price. Okla. injected 75 billion gallons of waste-water last year. It would take 142,694 of the Redbird -20 units to clean that much water. Where would you put all of them? ๐Ÿ™‚
Just putting some numbers to the problem.

Not sure thats quite right Lannas. 75bil pa = roughly 205mil per day. RB20 processes 28,000 gallons per day = 7321 units needed.
But it wouldnt work anyway. The oil residue would block the filter in minutes. ๐Ÿ™‚

$CDNL – no position

OK, so about this 51% share purchase by the Chinese company, do we know what the share price for that deal actually was? Originally, it was valued at $.10 a share, but the share price has fallen significantly since then. Was the deal ever revalued to reflect current share price or are they still paying $.10 a share to fund the company?

Does anyone know? In other words how many shares are being added to the float as a result of this funding?

$CDNL – long minimally

I was thinking about this more Sogiam and either one of two things has to be true here. Either they pay 7.5 million dollars at the agreed upon price which translates out to 72 million + shares however, there are at least 215 million shares out according to the website. So how does 72 million shares translate into a controlling interest of the company? And somewhere I read that the true number of shares might be around 512 million, but I don’t know where that number comes from and whether or not the new company’s shares are included in that figure or not.

So either they bought 72 million shares for .10 which is NOT a controlling interest of the company, OR

they got a controlling interest in the company which means they would have had to get a lot more shares at a lot lower price.

Both the $.104 price and a 51% interest in the company cannot be true in my mind. What am I missing?

niizajim I hold no $CDNL but I think you have every right to question and be cautious about any deal involving a company located in China. Government actions may be sudden and unfavorable,,,, with no recourse.

$CDNL long
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/cardinal-resources-receives-initial-1-130000173.html
So, this company has a partner with some pockets, and more money coming in than its current market cap, and an established product they are selling. Does that sound right, Ben? They are currently valued at approximately half of the money owed them for sale of stock in the past…sounds like a good place to be.

$CDNL down between 12% and 20% on what I interpreted as good news today–receiving the first $1,000,000+ and ongoing project possibilities. Are we misinterpreting the finances in today’s news or is this price manipulation in the stock market place? I still do not have a good handle on the finances and the deal with the China “partner”. Any illumination would ease my current anxiety. Thanks.

Sharon Thank You! You expressed what I could not. I just do not/cannot think in 144 letter limit. I would say it is all Greek to me but I can understand Greek given a little time and a reference book or two. Twitter, tweeting, chirping is less decipherable than chicken clucks,,, I know what that says by the tone.

I am also trying to understand the twitter language. Sharon said it best, it is definitely like learning a foreign language. e.g., what does:
“…Kevin Jones โ€“ CDNL @krjcardina @Sillylung13 @oilfieldassasin We have done limited buying as we wait for the money transferred to clear broker. I am personally buying.
8 retweets 9 likes Reply Retweet 8 Liked 9 StockGirl Retweeted Steal_Wheat34 โ€@Steal_Wheat34 8h8 hours ago Tucson, AZ $CDNL short informationโ€ฆ….” mean?
Is the tweet from Kevin Jones or from Sillylung or assasin or steal wheat.
And to whom?
Its mighty confusing.

Ben,
Is it going to be an open market purchase through a broker or a tender offer?
If open market, do you know what is their limit, i.e. how many shares do they want to buy back?
If tender offer, what is the stated buy back price? How many shares is their limit?
Thanks. J
