1st year subscriber to the Gumshoe Site, so don’t shred me please!

I am writing to ask you a couple of different questions and I am very new to stocks. I only have around fifteen thousand invested so far and have mainly been getting my information to learn about stocks from The Gumshoe, Stansberry Research[1], Doug Casey[2], Steve Sjuggerud[3] and misc. articles. I don’t jump at any one thing I hear since there is so much BS included in even the descent articles I read. But I also am not going to lie because some of this stuff flies way over my head so far.

Anyway, first I read a great article on Zafgen about a month ago when it was rebounding and almost jumped on board. Now the crap has hit again and the stock has dropped again. I guess I am asking what Dr. KSS[4] has to say about them now? Do we give up on this stock because of the new information or is this a buying opportunity for a stock that will rebound. I like what I had learned at first and I don’t know how these biotech businesses works yet.

Second, I recently bought a thousand shares of FOSUN and I want to get more and more involved with China[5]. I like FOSUN, but I also like different Chinese companies that I think will do well in the future once the New Silk Road in rolling again and the BRIC nations put a hurt on everyone. Companies like CRRC corp Rail makers 1766.HK, Zoomlion Heavy Equipment 1157.HK and Shengli Oil and Gas Pipe Holdings 1080.HK. Then also some Bombardier, Siemens and Alstom possibly for their locomotives even though they are not Chinese companies. What are your thoughts on this viewpoint please?

And last I have $60K in Renminbi that my wife, baby and I am going to be taking to China to invest since I can’t seem to get some of the companies I want through Schwab and I feel like it would be smart to get some of my money out of the US if possible. I’ve researched and it seems like it is not crazy now for investors to get a bank account at the big main Chinese banks and invest locally. Have you heard of anything like this before and possible snags?
