I got an e-mail from Stansberry again to watch a video about The Precision Profits System that guarantees profits and has 2 guarantees – 1. Get your money back in 90 days
2. If you don’t have 12 100% winnders in the next year you get another year for free.
They will have the video up until Sunday and will only take ”800” subscribers. They say it’s normally $3,000 but now is $1,495. They use Options on 50 stocks. I have signed up for many trade alert systems – Options, ETF’s and stocks and have lost money. $1,495 seems like a lot especially since I’m in Canada[1] and the exchange rate would make it cost about $2,200. Has anyone heard of them before and what do you think of this potential service – is it just more hype? Thanks for any feedback

I was intrigued by the preceding comments and did some cursory exploring of the service. It appears that the recommendations are triggered by predictions of weqther changes esp ‘polar vortices’ which appear to influence stock movements. All well and good(assuming it’s accurate) ,until everyone else figures this out.

I started investing Precision Profits recommendations on 4/1/16. So far I’ve invested or attempted to invest all 10 of their recommendations. Two were sold before expiration at a -20% and -70% loss, 2 did reasonably well but quickly took off and their recommended limit order was quickly surpassed so my options were never exercised and the other 6 are are still active but thus far are yielding: -12%, -12%, -76%, -29%, -7% and +11%. All 6 don’t expire till this Sept or Oct so there’s still plenty of time to respond more positively. You must be able to immediately place orders when a recommendation is made or risk missing their buy price.

I was engaged in the Precision Profits service for 3 months and my portfolio went down and down and down. Jeff’s opinions were losers for me. I followed his advice and my portfolio continued to drop, until I eventually sold all my positions. On the day I sold all the positions recommended to me via Precision Profit, my portfolio realized it’s first gain in months (I was making money on other investments, but the losses from Precision-Profits-recommended-trades were overshadowing any other gains in my portfolio.). To their credit, I was given a complete refund for my membership, but that didn’t cover anything close to the money I lost following Jeff’s advice. I would advise anyone reading this to stay away! If you doubt me, ask Jeff to show you his stats since April 2016. Let the buyer beware….

I’d like to know as well. Sounds too good to be true and the are peddling it too hard.. so I am not biting unless I can find some real review.

Signed up and traded recommendations for 5 months. Lost thousands. The service was so bad that they extended the 3 month money back by and extra 3 months to try to let you ‘recoup’ losses. The extra 3 months was no better. Also had a rude support person when I asked for my money back. I did get it back, that’s the good news. But still lost way more than other services I have tried. Avoid.

You have to ask yourself, why should this system cost so much of your money? If the system is delivering 1600% or even 30% reliably, THEY WOULD NOT NEED YOUR MONEY, hedge funds would be dumping billions into it. As someone who has worked at hedge funds for years, investing in Options is extremely risky likely to lose because options are extremely complex derivatives require good understanding of the math behind and and more importantly how to read and understand the option specifics. i.e. the Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega, Implied Volatility etc.). You cannot trade options successfully and should not without this understanding. The folks who run hedge funds, and the investment banks that make these markets are highly trained and no fools when it comes to taking your money. There are several strategies that are utilized with options but the fact is that 70% of ALL the money collected on option premiums goes to the SELLERS of the options (Hedgefunds and Investment Banks), not the buyers. That means buyers are on the winning side only 30% of the time. You know who’s money that is? It’s yours going out the window. You want to make money for the future, invest conservatively, buy when the market takes a breather. Warren Buffett once said, be greedy when others are scared, and be scared when others are greedy. Probably the best single advice anyone has ever uttered.

I have been using Precision Profits service for a year now with sketchy results, but on July 22 the service recommended purchasing a FTNT Aug 19 Call which, once recommended, was never tracked or mentioned again. I can’t be the only one who bought contracts for that call (10 myself) and I threw away over $2400 on that bogus instruction. I have called the service once already and written them twice with no response whatsoever. Like I said, the Call will expire in another day and is all but worthless, I hope he didn’t forget about any missiles once they were launched.
