AI is already here. It’s happening in many, if not most industries; its application in the business environment is growing fast. On many estimates, over the next 10 years, enterprise spending on AI technology will increase from $200 million to over $60 billion.

AI is already driving business growth, and rather than detracting from human contribution it will release workers to complete more creative and valuable tasks. A number of leading organisations spanning finance, law, healthcare, manufacturing, transport, energy, education and many more are looking to implement the technologies or have already started!

Useful in identifying major and emerging players that can help your business transform through AI solutions.

The above information is obtained from A IBusiness and Peter Xing

The purpose of the thread is to discuss investment opportunities in the field of AI.
Have a wonderful day and beyond. – Ben

$NVDA long

That $AMAT CEO…I’m not a fan. He gave me a feel of a guy I can’t trust on Mad Money maybe because he was trying too hard. But he could be right that AI relies on his company’s materials.

I think the idea of this thread is brilliant. We need to stay on top of AI and investing opportunities. My understanding is that many brilliant new tech companies are privately funded, but I’m sure there will still be opportunities for the masses.

Well this is interesting. it seems that at least according to Yahoo Finance description of Teradata Corporation the company is quite ripe for creating their own AI.

I have no knowledge of this company previously and chart seems it’s trying to recover it’s later weakness. Have to dig deeper to see if there’s something brewing below surface.

I scratched the surface of transfer learning while collecting info for my bachelor’s, but have forgotten almost all of it since. The little i do remember it feels like transfer makes total sense with AI. there’s still no actual constructive learning with AI, no pragmatic either. Maybe later AI develops it’s own methods of learning we humans know nothing about.

As expected from management’s communications earlier, Thin Film Electronics $TFE gave out a press release stating a joint operation with GlaxoSmithKline, a Fortune500 company, to ”create interactive ‘smart’ shelves for enhanced communication with consumers at time of purchase decision-making. – GSK introduced interactive ‘smart’ Flonase® shelves in retail stores across Canada in an effort to educate consumers about the new product and guide them in their purchasing decision. Thinfilm’s unique SpeedTap™ tags incorporated into shelving allows consumers to obtain product information through the tap of an NFC-enabled smartphone.”

Now this probably wasn’t the type of venture people were looking for, much rather to have Thinfilm’s SpeedTaps in every single product coming out of GSK factories, but as the promise made earlier got fulfilled in one way or another, the share price appreciated almost 10% earlier today in Oslo stock exchange – let’s see how it closes. Yet this was actually a surprising concept since even browsing through pages i usually check for conversations about Thinfilm, i haven’t found anybody talking about this kind of use-case for it’s products before. Seems there’s a lot more versatility in them than predicted.

Nevertheless, this was a major step for Thinfilm opening up new gateways for profitability and getting one more customer under their expanding list of customers. No doubt this is also ”more secure approach” for GSK to start experimenting with Thinfilm’s products before full scale launch of tags into all the products. If successful, GSK is appears to be leading the way among big pharma.

Note that if you happen to take interest in this company, there’ve been speculations of next capital raise round and it’s form – last december it was a directed emission leaving us small timers out of it. This was a major setback in my own opinion and lowered my trust in management rowing the boat the same direction than i am.

SoGiAm, is it okay to leave this here, or do you prefer keeping this tread strictly to AI only?

awesome, thank you 🙂 i’ll keep on posting whenever there’s anything worth mentioning.

i honestly believe Thinfilm’s potential is a lot more than ~3 NOK which is roughly 0,3 euros considering it’s about to be a major player in gathering data in consumer goods, logistics, storage, manufacturing etc with it’s tags. countless gigabytes of data previously not accessible… IF they succeed.

please be vigilant of the share price, do not burn your fingers with it. you don’t need to TA expert to notice it seems to be on very clear trend going downwards despite today’s jump. i’d love to think otherwise but cannot right now. there’re absolutely NO proof of future for this company, mainly promises, EVEN if everything seems to proceeding according to chosen strategy right now.

nice, great find SoGiAm! this sounds like exactly the right kind event for candid biotech and tech investors to have couple of seats while healthcare companies and people talk about AI. big $s moving there, no doubt. even a whiff of an AI company collaborating with any of these could be turned into nice investing profits too.

Yesterday the stock price decline was maybe because of $MBOT director selling $63,600.00 in Stock. Up pre-market, lets see

$BOTZ, no position as I can’t hold the ETF in my ISA (UK). But the fund, focussed on robotics / automation and AI, has performed exceptionally since inception imo.
