As you may have noticed, we’re shaking things up in the design and layout of the site.
Most things will continue to work very similarly to how they have in the past, but the site will work much better on mobile devices and smaller screens now, and should be generally easier on the eyes.
We’ve also simplified the basic design to make finding information a little bit easier (there’s still a ways to go on this bit) — we’ve simplified the menus at the top to make it easier to find what most people are looking for: new articles, articles that are generating a lot of attention, teaser solutions by newsletter, and active discussions of any kind.
Some of you will hate this immediately, and I’m sorry to spring the new design on you, but this is generally a pretty quiet time of year hereabouts so hopefully we’ll all have time to get accustomed to the new layout.
We’re not trying to make life more difficult, but we are trying to make the site as accessible as possible for more people.
This is step one, and we will be working on fixing bugs for a little while as well as pushing forward with some larger additions and alterations as funding and time permit (including improving subscriber reviews/rankings of newsletters and hopefully improving our search functions).
So, two things: First, thank you to the Irregulars who make it possible for us to continue investing in the site…
And second, if you notice bugs or have concerns or questions about how the new design works for you, please comment below so we can compile those questions and concerns in one place as we move forward. There are plenty of small things that aren’t working perfectly yet and where fixes are in process (like the custom avatars for commenters, for example), but there are likely some issues that we have not yet identified.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for your help!
P.S. if you’re not yet seeing the new design, that’s either because we pulled it back to fix something or because your browser cache still is still feeding you the old design — you can clear your cache if you’re anxious to see the new layout, but for 99.9% of you it will update on its own before too long.
I tend to read most of your articles, but some times I am looking only for the latest info or comments on a specific stock. Addressing this issue would be appreciated.
I do like your service very much! However sometimes I want to print out your articles, such as todays Irregular article, but I really can not find a “print”button.
thanks
WiMVAN Have you tried to right click on the article? That should bring up print as one of the options.
The print button for almost every page is now up at the top right — that will give you a clean page for printing without all the formatting.
Good! I think I will join your cause again thank you BJ
Looks good so far Always glad to see improvements
How do we email questions on newsletter to a specific inbox?
They are saying a devise small as a dime will spur the economy to (Dow) 40 – 50 thousand. Any suggestions
The contact link is now at the bottom of the page, or you can always email to ilovestockspam@gmail.com
That tease from Paul Mampilly was hinting at STM, I wrote about it here: http://www.stockgumshoe.com/reviews/profits-unlimited/friday-file-greatest-innovation-in-history-solved-plus-a-new-fund-holding/
Travis…page not found: http://www.stockgumshoe.com/2016/03/microblog-club-house-for-the-discussion-of-religion-politics-and-other-unmentionables-volume-5/ Thx 4 all you do -Ben
Please, disregard…works now – Thx
I hate the new format!!!! I can’t find anything………
How do I search for a topic on this new site?
The old site was fine; the new site is OK – lots of white space – looks cleaner & uncluttered – but PLEASE make the font black on white instead of gray on white. My old eyes just can’t strain to read the light gray font. Many sites are going to light gray on white & I just don’t understand why. It’s very difficult for older eyes to read!
Also, I just noticed that some of the articles are written in italics – again, more difficult to read.
In search results – each article listed should indicate the date it was published.
Any interest in ORRP? (Orroplata Resources)
What about Oxfords statements that July 26 the Petrodoller becomes the Petroyaun
Haven’t seen that pitch recently… but the Yuan has been troubled of late, no one’s going to “flee to safety” in the Yuan, my impression is that those who hold lots of it in mainland China are generally much more interested in getting it out of the country and buying other currencies (or gold).
Ralphpd3 Did that pitch give the year? July 26 2036 maybe?. I have never heard of a petro doller ,,,did they actually write that and petro yaun? Instead of Dollar and Yuan? That would explain it all ,,, it is meant to be sheer fantasy.
I have never been able to successfully use search on this site the way I’d like to as I am mostly interested in more recent comments on particular biotech stocks from Dr KSS’s articles, and possibly because I access via Safari on iPad. No problem though because I subscribe to the articles and get exactly the history I want searching my email inbox. Actually- I also tend to monitor discussions via email more often than signing on to the site- if I get interested in a particular exchange I can hit the link and go to exactly where I want to be.
However- one improvement I would dearly love would be the ability to automate subscription to new Dr KSS articles. Between work and health issues I can sometimes go a week or more without hitting the site so miss new articles and thus the email scan on new comments. Can you please add this to your rainy day improvement list?
Thank you for a wonderful site and service!

Thanks Shaya, comment search improvement is a priority but is also probably the toughest technical challenge. Fingers
Crossed!
I really like the new format for this site, especially, the irregulars information at the top of the articles. Thank you for your commitment to continuous improvement on this site.
Please explain yow to subscribe to follow a stock. Arth . I spend hours annoying myself trying to find logical progression. Patiently watching my next sailboat coming to me!
Might’ve found it.
There is a special discussion thread for ARTH. You can see it here: http://www.stockgumshoe.com/2015/08/microblog-discussion-re-arth/
Please contact me if you have any questions: lynn@stockgumshoe.com
PVG is 12 plus…when to sell? …. when to add?
How do I access the “new” internet comments of Dr KSS? I do have Premium membership. Thanks
Each author has a page with all of their most recent articles and comments, you can find it under “articles by author” or click on their name in the masthead of one of their articles. Dr. KSS’s author page is here.
I find myself spending a good deal of time scrolling back to the top of a page when on my phone or tablet. One simple change to help with navigation would be a link at the bottom of each page which would take you back to the top of the page.
Pretty cold, cut and dried. The other format was much friendlier.

In general, like the new look. A few suggestions: 1. miss the post numbers. Hard to get back to where you were reading or to refer to a particular post as same author may post a number of posts in one day.
2. If one leaves the post to check on the link, can not return to the same post and had to start over and scroll to the post. Time consuming and there is no post numbers to help out. 3. The seconds on the post timing may not be be helpful. Otherwise, excellent new format.
Hi Travis,I’ve just noticed that not all posts have a Reply bubble beside them . Is there a reason for this? And would it be possible for the Share Your Thoughts box to be after all posts on the page rather than at the start. That would avoid having to scroll all the way up to post a new comment. Thanks
They should, unless the thread has already gotten too nested for us to handle another indent.
And yes, we’ll probably adjust the comment system and the placement further soon.
Thanks Travis.
It was on the ARTH thread that there were no reply bubbles on some of the posts. I don’t think the one I was trying to reply to was nested itself but I’ll have another look.
