Any thoughts on this new offer from JR and Agora[1] MIDAS System? The offer is for a subscription for 1700.

    Hi Alex12,

There are lots of ideas for gold investments on other threads. For this reason my guess is that most of the readership would not pay money for ideas on gold stocks, even though many (myself included) enjoy Rickard’s ideas.

Two threads I suggest are “Gold’s Next Bull Run ? What to Buy ?” strated by JB Naples, now closed; and “Gold Bull Investments for the Next Leg Up…June 2016”, which is a continuation of the first thread.

Is this the same news letter as “Jim Rickards, The Gold Speculator”? he is offering a subscription for £997 at the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas on the 3 gold miners he is talking about?

I just read through the entire pitch for the MIDAS / Agora thing. First, it is not the same as Rickard’s Gold Speculator newsletter and it is not the same as his currency pitches or the IMPACT system. They are currently asking a ‘discounted’ membership of $1750, and the non-discounted price is listed as $3000 per year. There are currently 14 gold picks in this portfolio and it seems to consist entirely of junior miners, streaming companies, etc. I don’t know why he doesn’t just name the “Harvard-trained geologist” he has enlisted, because many people who pay attention to this sector and most Agora readers know who is Byron King is. I heard that Agora recently shut down their Outstanding Investments newsletter, so I guess they had to find something else for Byron to do. Although Byron King seems to know a lot about gold and oil, I personally hold a grudge toward him because I don’t think he is as “dialed in” as he and Agora lead the readers to believe. I got burned by him several years ago when he encouraged readers to hold on to oil because he thought that Saudi Arabia would cut back on production, thereby keeping prices higher. Well, as we now know, the exact opposite happened and the price of oil collapsed. If Byron were so “dialed in”, I feel he would have known that there was at least a good chance that Saudi Arabia was not going to cut back prices, and therefore, he would have / should have encouraged his readers to bail out of oil before the eminent collapse. Anyway, back to Rickards. I enjoy reading him, but honestly, I don’t think his track record is any better than most others. There are many newsletters pitching junior miners and rarely do I see the same company pitched by more than one person. Sorry for being so cynical, but it seems to me that Rickards and Agora are cashing in as quickly as they can by making Rickards the new ‘face’ of Agora, at least temporarily, so they can pitch as many newsletters with his name on them as possible. With all that said, I do not know what the 14 companies in this MIDAS portfolio are, but I would love to find out…………….and see whether or not they compare to recs made by other newsletters.

Second post to follow up on Rickards MIDAS system. It doesn’t look like Travis has tackled this one yet. Has anyone signed up or this newsletter? Does anyone know what the 14 companies in the MIDAS portfolio are?

    Junior gold miners? Volatility!

    Travis– what is Rickards touting?

AN URGENT MESSAGE FROM JIM RICKARDS’ LEAD GEOLOGIST…

Starting August 11, You Have The Chance To Start Your Very Own “Gold Rush” (With As Little As A $200 Stake!)

    URGENT:
I just uncovered our next “Midas Gold” pick – it’s a small outfit from Nevada with HUGE potential.

You see, most folks don’t know it, but “hidden” in plain sight in the U.S. is the world’s second largest gold deposit. (Second only to the Witwatersrand Basin in Johannesburg, South Africa.)

I’m talking about Nevada’s famous “Carlin Trend.”

The company trades for under $2 per share, but holds MASSIVE gold-producing potential.

As the old saying goes, the best place to find gold is next to a mine. And this little company just locked up a huge gold deposit within sight of a huge mine run by Newmont.

I’m set to release the name of this company on Thursday August 11. Simply put, if you’d like to be on the list of readers that have “first read” access to this pick, you’ll want to take me up on my offer right now.

Remember, small companies like this have shown the potential – right here in 2016 – to double in short order. Even a modest stake could turn in to a life-changing lump sum.

1 Year to Rickards’ Gold Speculator
    Just $1,750

    Harvard- trained Geologist

Why would I subscribe to Byron King aka Jim Rickards, when almost every recco from Casey’s International Speculator and Greg Coach’s Mining Speculator is coming good? Mind you, in today’s gold mining shares environment, pinning the tail on the donkey would probably do as well!

My view is that people like jim rickards like to create great story’s like $10k gold price… from a technical analysis point of view gold needs to climb over 1400 to skyrocket to 1800.. a potential massive inverted head & shoulders pattern in xau/usd is forming & I gather these clowns look at these patterns & think up a few bs story’s to make it all look like they are gurus when it eventuate’s… if your interested in looking at the pattern I’m glad to email a link from freestockcharts.com with my drawings. Good luck cheers Joel. My email clearimagedesign@gmail.com if interested.

Is there a chance for NAK or PVG as represented?

  10. Tommy K says:

I joined Jim Rickards Penny Gold Speculator and that’s just what I did. I speculated about $10000 and followed his recommendations to the tea and am presently down about $3500 or 35% minimum. This has been a disaster so far.

I agree with comments on Rickards. Great knowledge but sub-par stock picker. Some good recs for alternative advice given below. My favorites not mentioned are Avi Gilbert (Elliot Wave & sentiment) & Taylor Dart on Seeking Alpha. Conservative, no hype. Primarily for medium to short term in equities. There is certainly chaos in gold predictions and it’s very difficult to find sane advice. Believe physical has a definite place along with miners..
