From what I remember, that pitch didn’t have any specific clues but was more of a generic “Internet of things” tease. If there were clues about the specific companies at all, let me know and I may be able to check into those — stocks they’ve liked for the IoT in the past, going from memory, have been Invensense, NXPI, Sierra WIreless and maybe some others that I’m not remembering at the moment.
Sounds like a tout for investing in IoT (internet of things); which is a very broad and vague target. Not a big secret, Fools – thanks for the “brilliant” reveal. As if IoT is such a “new secret” and which of the scores (or hundreds) of companies innovating/competing in this space does one actually invest in?
Motley is so freakin’ annoying with their cheesy and lame “secret” touts for low-info, clueless simpletons. /:(
But click profusely on their spam ads so as to cost them as much adspend $ as possible! 😀
Hey backoffice, Travis, et al gumshoe community:
If you’re ever curious about any MF pitch, here’s a hack to cut thru their bloated, drawn out, insufferable video yawns.
Once you land on the video page, simply click to close the browser window. A popup will appear asking “Do you want to leave this site?”
Click “Stay” and the window will refresh with an exact text transcript of the video content. You can then quickly scan (or Ctrl F) thru the pitch to expose (if any) valuable info.
WTF? Want time free? Catch them Donutz ha ha ha catch them donutz he he he
You’re a geniuz 🙂 This shall save the ignorant hourz and hourz of time…

You’ve never seen that?? ….Many activate the drop down just by clicking previous page. It drops down and says, “Watch Video” the other choice is “Read Transcript.” or it’s a “Leave” “Stay” choice. Many of those go to a transcript of the Teaser. On about 20% of them, it just stays on the Video. ……”Dr.” Kent Moors (clown) is the longest, most Boring and BS ones out there…many of Money Map Press are. I get about 200-250 emails a day….I give those videos about 7 minutes to make some kind of point, or it’s off to the transcript…if no transcript……it’s just OFF
Most have a line or two that I can Copy & Paste to find the “Secret” info.
If not…Next Stop is Travis’s Stock Gumshoe!!
Thanks. I’ve done that a few times and they just yak away until they try to hook you into a subscription. They came out with their I of T over 2 years ago and I don’t think any of them has gone up, they gone down though.
I was looking at the latest version of this ad today (hence my visit here) and still no specific clues toward a secret company. In fact, this version was lamenting that all the focus was on one stock ($TSLA) when, in reality, several companies would stand to benefit.
I have previously bought into a couple Motley Fool teasers a few years ago for IoT companies and the like. One was InvenSense (pre-Apple Watch) and the other was NVIDIA (back when their share price was stuck at $20). I cannot say I am disappointed but I also know to proceed with caution when considering their ads. I like to remind myself that 3D Company was one of their heavily-marketed ads prior, even when its share price was $75.
Wow – great tip!
I thought they were touting Smart Vent. It’s technically technology and the two young cofounders appeared on Shark Tank and received a $750,000 investment, one of the largest in the show’s history. https://smartvent.com/products/view/1540-510
They are, but only as an example of the broad “internet of things” theme, which includes everything from Smart Cars and Smart Homes to Smart Jet Engines and Smart Bridges and Smart Toasters.
It’s Keen Home and you can now invest in them through SeedInvest under the Reg A (allows you to invest in startups too small for a large co IPO).
