written by reader Marin Katusa’s brand new newsletter; which “tiny gold company” is mentioned?

By chrizcringle, July 7, 2016

Marin Katusa, which is a well-known guy around the resource industry, has recently started a newsletter called Katusa’s Resource Opportunities (this week, so it’s pretty fresh).
Do anybody know of which gold company he is refrering to in this link? https://katusaresearch.com/katusa-core-kro/?mc_cid=67cc7143e6&mc_eid=3e2bf87746

My best guess is Erdene Resource Development Corp – ERDCF. Next door to world’s second largest gold consumption region and largest gold producer . http://www.erdene.com/corporate20/corporate20.php

I just read the email pitch. Don’t really mind springing for the $1,500 but having never heard of him it gives me some concern that there is no guarantee .

Marin has promoted some good ones. Most recently Brazil Resources. I’m sure this next one will be a hit as well. This new one is “thinly traded”….those can be manipulated quite easily. That said, I believe in Marin and am using caution..

Whidathunk – why do you think Erdene. I see a connection: Marin to First Finance Management to Erdene….but is there another reason? He’d be already invested in Erdende via his involvement with FF

It’s probably Erdene, but it should of been MX Gold.

Rabbitchaser, Erdene is mining in Mongolia, second largest gold discovery next to South Africa’s Witwatersrand. First Finance backing and a strong balance sheet with strong management leads me to this conclusion. Also a overlooked company as noted in the newsletter. Investing in Erdene as well would supplement FFM investments.

Whidathunk – Marin says he will recommend when to buy and sell. If it’s a company related to FF, like Erdene…wouldn’t that be something like insider trading?

So far so true, a lot speaks for Erdene indeed. But Marin talks about a gold “deposit” majors would kill to have. So far Erdene only has a “discovery” of unknown size and minability. My other guess: Marin could mean Exeter: Massive gold deposit. Insider holdings. Not on mainstream press. Recent buying but with a not so thinly trading. What do you think, guys?

my guess is midas gold ( MAX) on can. venture exch. One of the largest gold deposits in the US. Has had movement correlating with katusa’s announcement.

Thanks for your comment, why do you say that it IS “NDM”?

Hi
With respect to MAX and Karin below is an excerpt from
https://www.streetwisereports.com/pub/na/marin-katusa-follow-the-good-guys-in-mining

Question: After reading this info is the consensus that the new article is refering to MAX??

MK: Midas Gold Corp. (MAX:TSX) is a fantastic project that I believe a major will eventually want to own. I am down on my position, but Midas has a solid management team, although they are promotionally challenged. It’s suffering from two issues in this market: the permitting process—nobody cares about companies in that permitting period—and the capital cost to build the mine in this market is being frowned upon. A company like Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. (OR:TSX) or Goldcorp will come up and buy that asset. Will it be this year or in three to four years? I don’t know. But that asset is a past producer, very high grade and has over 5 million ounces of gold. That’s why I’ve taken a large position. It has the right management team and the right project. It has the right type of geology in the right jurisdiction. That’s a contrarian bet on gold. Most people are undervaluing it today, and that’s when you want to buy. That doesn’t mean it’s not high risk. All junior resource speculations are high risk. That is why fortune favors the bold.

Spicer. Nice ref. But seriously, years? Who invests in miners to wait years? You can throw a rock and hit 100% return right now.

DeathProof – did you suscrribe for his newsletter or this just an educated guess? and any insights on how you came to this conclusion. It does seem very thinly traded and the gold deposits too.

Cheers mate

Yahoo finance reports that Sprott Asset mgmt has a 5.4% stake in NAK. Also, Future Money Trends added K92 Mining to their list of core gold positions, their other two currently being Brazil Resources and and First Mining Finance. Not sure if there is a connection there. Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas here:)

I wanted to get into some small mining stocks, I already hold physical gold/silver. I liked what I had read and seen on this,

But this made me wonder –

http://incakolanews.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/marin-katusa-laid-bare.html

This being his first venture outside of Casey Research I thought he would be putting his name on the line making this work out. It closes at midnight today.

Thoughts?

I’m not too familiar of Marin Katusa’s actual overall performance so it’s difficult for me to decide to pay the money for the newsletter or look at another resource for the micro/small-caps. I’ve done great with with just RING, GDX, GDXJ, SLVP and SILJ (could buy more options vs. newsletter cost). I’m a little confused when I ran across the following link back when he was with Casey Research but without knowing all the details I’m not sure if its mudslinging from a competitor/jealously or actual real claim: http://incakolanews.blogspot.com/2010/11/marin-katusas-scams-and-other-casey.html
I wish there was a free-look period like http://www.angelnexus.com/o/web/104784/loc=ios

Just remember that anyone can say virtually anything about someone without retribution so it is hard to determine fact from fiction.

Personally if he can make good picks, and I benefit, it doesn’t bother me. I reviewed his materials and found it pricey.

If you just review the materials on this website you can find good ideas.

Just remember that there has been a big move in precious metal miners (100%+) already. You may want to wait for a correction. One is surely coming based on the over bought futures market.
