I think one might be Solar Edge (SEDG). I know they sell a better inverter than the inline one they mentioned in their pitch as I bought one when I went solar earlier this year. One of a handful of solar related companies backed by various analysts. That said, Solar Edge is a supplier and at the mercy of who they supply to. Also, there are many new revolutionary technologies being developed right now for power storage. How can they be sure they are backing the right pony. I would be interested also in who the second company is.
One of the companies involved is Ideal Power.
You can see its name on the small power converter in the picture in the ad from Casey Research.
It is based in Austin, Texas.
See its website here: http://www.idealpower.com
I didn’t see the small power converter in their list of products.
That suggests the website is not up to date, but one of the earlier
models has a similar look although it is bigger and probably
heavier.
Ticker symbol for Ideal Power is IPWR on the Nasdaq.
IPWR has been on the market for about 3 years according to Yahoo data.
