Jeff Brown’s Gene Hacking Company tout

Anybody got the scoop on this one? He’s guessing an IPO[1] to hit Tues. the 18th of Oct.

Even at discount, $3,000 for a 2-year sub to his “Exponential Tech Investor” is a bit too much for my penny ante wallet.

Sorry, I should have explained that more. Z-score is a ratio developed by Robert Altman, intended to predict the likelihood that a company would go bankrupt — its generally considered to be most useful for assessing credit quality of “old fashioned” industrial companies like manufacturers, but there are some variations of it that try to assess non-industrial firms. I still find it an interesting data point for pointing out balance sheet or cash flow risks, but don’t think the old rule about “1.8 means bankruptcy in two years is likely” or any other strict numerical limit — its more of a starting point for looking at risk.
Screening for low z-scores does find some lousy stocks… but some of them are probably not terrible, and lots of folks would instantly recognize the stinkersas lousy without the low z-score.

Gene hacking stock commented by Jeff Brown is Editas medicine
It appears Editas Medicine (EDIT) had its IPO in February, 2016. It would appear that Jeff is touting a different company. IPO forecast for this coming Tuesday, 18 October, 2016.
It was Apttio (APTI), Stansberry sent a free video that included part of Jeff;s recent presentation.
