It’s a great company enjoying the confluence of three big trends (AI, autonomous driving, virtual reality/gaming), and yes, it is crazy expensive now. I sold a while back and haven’t been able to convince myself to buy back in — but that’s been true of some burner growth stocks in the past as well, and sometimes I’ve missed those runs because I can’t stomach the valuation (Amazon, Netflix, etc.). I don’t know what will happen next for NVDA — I would guess that the next possible dip for them is if the high-end video card revenue drops off before their other businesses pick up, then they could disappoint for a quarter or few… but it’s certainly not happening yet and analyst expectations keep rising.

Not to detract too heavily, but what is your take on AMD which is ski-daddlin’ around the CPU/GPU market with similar trends (VR, AI, Gaming, etc,.)

My take is that they’ve been so disappointing for so long that there’s both more opportunity and more risk.
