Wow! I’m surprised I’ve not seen this promo until now! Obviously, this is private equity investing which has been approved to a very limited extent for non-accredited investors. Because of that, non-accredited investors can invest only a very small amount into this class of investments. I have seen promotions for newsletter services promising untold wealth, as in this promo, with annual fees that are greater than many could invest for one who would look to be taken into an advisory like this (limits are $2,000 or 5% of net worth, whichever is greater). Google H.R. 3606, or House of Representatives Bill H.R. 3606. The wikipedia overview (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumpstart_Our_Business_Startups_Act) suggests to me that this opens the door for scammers to pitch you and take you in with their promise of untold wealth… starting with just $500 (and a $2500/year subscription fee – though I did not get to the “offer” in this promo http://special.crowdability.com/genesis/index.html).
They are pitching a pot investment in pre-ipo company that offers a proprietary marijuana based pain relief cream. Based on presentation, it seems to be a DMSO-like delivery system that makes it look unique. Any ideas?
Appears to be selling his secret for $39 now. So, basically, investing in start-ups, before IPO, as VCs do. Of course, many VCs lose money on many deals, while profiting a lot from those companies that do make it. What are the odds that a small private investor is going to do as well, without the losses, as they promise?
yeah they are pitching a startup in MMJ space, “transepidermal” cream, I can’t figure out what it is I went to all the startup investing portals I could find
