written by reader Is CLDR(Cloudera) worth to buy now to gain from the future market of Big data and analytics?

My background: I am a newbie in stock investing and somehow like the analysis of Travis on various stocks. I am the active subscriber of Agorafinacial’s o”True Alpha[1]’ and the ’Technology profits confidential’.I made some money based the recommendations of True Alpha, but technology profits confidential is not worth to subscribe. I am trying to pick up the concepts of both fundamental and technical analysis by reading online(Investopedia etc).
My question: Is CLDR worth buying now?
Why I picked CLDR?: My wife is a Hadoop architect and works with a leading analytics-based software company and she talks a lot about the future of Big data and the cloud-based analytics.she is not very good at the investment analysis, but she sees a huge business potential for these areas and the Coudera is the market leader at this time in the commercial Hadoop solutions with so many ecosystems developed around that area. Recently Intel(INTC) bought 17% stake in the cloudera by paying a premium. What are your thoughts on this?

  1. Those are some good reasons to consider a company, particularly if you have some in-depth knowledge about how they operate and their market positioning and see tremendous growth. I try to avoid most IPOs in the first few weeks, because there’s a tendency for them to have a six-month swoon once insider lockups expire and the insiders (who have often been waiting for years to sell some shares) are able to sell. That has a flip side, too, in that the investment bankers who took the company public aren’t allowed to issue their glowing analyst reports right away, so there can be a catalyst when those reports come out.

But I don’t know anything specifically about Cloudera and haven’t looked at the financials. Are they profitable yet? Any notion of what the growth rate is likely to be?

Cloudera (CLDR)- would like a newer analysis. with the over priced SnowFlake (SNOW) is this an alternative cheaper options with potential to grow?
one of the writers @ Motley Fool say it is….
