Boom & Bust

I would like to know your thoughts on Harry Dent[1]’s Boom and Bust[2] push ?

His ads have been quite similar for years, predicting catastrophe because of demographic changes (or “waves”) — it all makes sense, and there is certainly reason to be worried, but I’ve never been convinced that these big picture themes like demographic change are useful in day-to-day (or even year-to-year) investing decisions.
I’ve been subscribed to Boom&Bust for several years. Guess I stay in because I’m afraid I’ll miss something “big”, but so far B&B and the other offerings by Dent’s stable kind of keep you in the middle, i.e, going nowhere.
