written by reader Index fund investor looking to get into individual stocks

By brenners249, August 7, 2017

Hey folks,

I’m relatively new to investing. I’m 30 with 100,000 in index funds through Vanguard (well diversified) I am looking to get into stocks and I know this might sound stupid but I plan on copying a lot of the live portfolio on this site. Why? I have a full time job, I think it would be enjoyable and I think Travis knows what he’s doing. Def knows more than me.

How much would you recommend putting into ind. stocks given my position. Also, is my strategy of copying Travis completely ridiculous. I do not want to spend lots of time managing and researching.

Any feedback would be great
