I’m in the midst of a big project at work so I’m throwing this out to any of you who might want to have a go at solving Paul Mampilly[1]’s latest tease. There aren’t too many specific clues. He says that it’s a ”tiny company” and that it ”builds the technology for the car companies” giving it many revenue streams because it’s working with ”dozens of automakers”. He adds, ”It’s cornering the market at this very moment locking down a contract with one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers.” He says the stock is starting to take off and is ”set to soar”. If you are following this sector and have an educated guess please share it with the Gummunity.

Here’s the tease:

It is Delphi, DLPH. a 48-volt battery that can be readily installed into current gas engine architecture to create a “mild-hybrid” vehicle.

Lear Corp, LEA, is the other good chance. Smaller market cap of about $13Bcompared to DLPH of $26B. LEA has many products for the electrical system of vehicles. Both DLPH and LEA are nicely positioned for electrical vehicles.

Have you researched it at all? There appears to be no news that would account for its rise yesterday and the sudden pop today is likely the result of the heavy promotion by PM and the team at Banyan. I hope all the folks who invested today do well!
Your welcome Mary555. I am a subscriber to Paul Mampilly’s less expensive service, Profits Unlimited. So… Banyan Hill Marketed to me with that teaser pitch that you posted. I did a little research based on his clues and narrowed is down to 17 stocks. At 11:00 I watched these stocks to see which one would make a run. I go lucky and saw it start and jumped on it immediately and am currently up 20%! Thank you Paul Mampilly. I will research the company tonight. I know a lot of people would jump out and take their proft, but I mostly believe in his picks and have done very well holding them for a while. I am sure it will dip as people take their profits, but I expect that I might stay in the stock.

PS I highly recommend joining Stockgumshoe’s newsletter as an “irregular.” The newsletter is very inexpensive and has interesting and helpful posts by members as well as the principals. I joined for one month, then a week later switched to a year. Thanks to a couple of tips that are doing well I will probably become a lifetime member soon. Travis and his colleagues (e.g. Dr KSS) do very thorough research. And they seem to have the most integrity of any group around.
Mampilly is BS. His portfolio is never a true reflection. The weeds are pulled out. They pump and dump. His news is not news that can’t be found elsewhere.
lol. his recent bs pump. Always starts with something like Next week I”m going to give you the NEXT BIG THING… this is the “pump”.

Sorry, I deleted those other Chinese EV Stock Companies once I figured out KNDI.
Paul Mampilly is touting a Cyber-Security Stock that he is going to reveal on Tues, Oct 17th at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern for his True Momentum Service, which I am not a member of. He did not give many clues about it. Recently one of his Banyan Hill Partners JL Yastien was teasing a Cyber Security Stock for his new service. I am not 100% positive, but I think I figured it out. I believe it to be CyberArk. I feel that Mampilly’s pick is going to be different from Yastein’s, but you never know, it could be CyberArk that he pics Tues morn. I will be watching a bunch of Cyber-Security Stocks on Tues morn and see if one jumps up like Kandi did. If I happen to catch it, I’ll let you all know.
If any of you have seen this latest teaser pitch by Paul Mampilly regarding Cyber-Security and have any idea as to what stock it might be, please let us know.

Thanks, PettyFan. I too subscribe to Profits Unlimited. I really like Paul and believe that he is trying to help out small mom and pop investors like myself. I’m not so crazy about his publisher.
I try to figure out the teases because I can’t afford the pricier newsletters. Many of the other newsletter gurus seem to push stocks that they know nothing about. Their teases pump up the stock price which then comes crashing down soon after. I’m not a day trader so I’m not really interested in those.
I think you are right about CyberArk, at least so far as Yastien’s tease. I looked into it awhile back and it looks like it could be a good play. Lot’s of competition in that field though. If PM also picks it I will probably buy some on a dip because I am finding that his technology sector picks are usually solid — they are well researched and seem to hold their value (not pump and dump). I figured out the True Momentum tease for NTNX on Sept. 14 and bought a small stake in that one. It’s up 23.5 percent in a month with more and more analysts coming on board and increasing price targets. It’s a bummer that he is being so tight-lipped with clues…maybe he lurks here from time to time? If you are reading this, Paul, know that I love you. I just can’t afford your pricier newsletters!

Another choice could be FireEye. In another tease Mampilly hints at Trumps massive 54 Billion Defense Spending as part of the reason this cybersecurity’s Stock will soar. The DHS (Depertment Of Homeland Security), I believe is largely responsible for Cybersecurity. FireEye was the first Cybersecurity firm awarded with the DHS Safety ACT Certification. I also think I remember some key execs from FireEye going to work for a large Defense Contractor Cybersecurity Arm (maybe Raytheon or Northrop – not sure.

I found what I had read. General Dynamis sold off Fidelis Cybersecurity to Marlin Equity Partners. Fidelis’ Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Evans was previously Vice President of Marketing at FireEye.
So……. FireEye looks to be in bed with the DHS & maybe a couple of Defense Contractors :-O. This looks like one to watch!

The one concrete clue I found in the tease is that he says this cybersecurity stock has already gone up 500 percent for early investors so that would rule out both CyberArk and FireEye although these both look like worthwhile investments. I agree with you that CyberArk is Yasten’s pick but I don’t think it can be Paul’s. Here is a list of the top 500 cyberfirms (ranked). If we find one that moved up 500 percent that is relevant to the Equifax scandal (that was the other clue I saw), that will be Paul’s pick.

Hi Guys, this is my first post on gumshoe. This is an awesome site and I love the analysis and prediction. One thought is this could be QLYS. It fits the bill pretty well. It is a cybersecurity company, has been growing revenue and stock price (true momentum). It also has gone up 500% since it opened. I just took a small stake in it this morning. That’s a great guess but PettyFan is watching the likely candidats move at 11 am and I’m pretty sure he nailed it below.
I sold 3/4 of my KNDI at $8.70 today. Took a nice gain for only a couple weeks. Too many sell signals technically. Have limit orders to buy it back close to $8. Wash and rinse cycle.

I think it could be PFPT. The only other stock with action after 11am that I could see that might fit the bill is HFC. But I have a feeling it’s ProofPoint. Or………….. it might not be either of these. PFPT was down – .52% before his announcement time and is now up + 1.38% 40 minutes after Mampilly’s pick.

I think you are right, PettyFan. Under their newsfeed there is an article that names them as one of three stocks that will benefit from the Equifax breach and it appears that they have gone from ten dollars a share to just under a hundred so that fits. Thank you!

I take PU. I took TM and bought CGNX at a very favorable price. I was looking for stocks trading at lower prices and transferred my subscription to EF.
I think EF are more riskier and smaller priced stocks. All of Paul recommendations are for patient investors, IMO.
I subscribe to a new service that is building a portfolio to 15-20 small cap and midcap ‘Busted IPOs’ which outperforms the Russell 2000 significantly over time. Busted IPOs are stocks that have been public for 18 months to five years that are trading substantially under their IPO prices.

PFPT has a really high PE ratio of over 140. CYBR has PE ratio under 45. Mampilly must be expecting whopping eps for PFPT.

After PM’s tease of PFPT, it was down 0.75 the same day and today down another .12, while CYBR has increased steadily these 2 days. In view of the weekly chart, CYBR has bottomed out this week. Should cont to go up if earnings do not disappoint again on Nov 3.
As an inugural PM groupy with some early victories; I’m now finding myself very suspicious in following a leader with a strategy entitled “going upness” and forming a new True Momentum group with a significant buy in tag. I really enjoy the conversation and research contribution of this group. Thank you for helping me tie together some PMs proclamations with the gumshoes skepticism.

It’s kind of ironic that people here got the pick before TM subscribers. That’s what Banyan Hill Publishing get for being money hungry, always try to pump and promote their picks beforehand to lure in more potential subscribers!
Wonder why the trade pulled back a couple of dollars towards the end of the day though. Either way, hats off to Mary for deciphering it! Unlike Mary, I am not interested in solving puzzles. I more interested in the mind games and just winning! (Like Charlie Sheen would say lol). The next EF pick is supposedly on artificial intelligence, should be coming out soon. Get busy Mary!! So that’s definite? Cool… I thought it may have been KERX. They reported a loss for this quarter, but they just got approved yesterday from the FDA for something big and the share price is peanuts. I believe TM boasts potential 300% return on the pick. Let’s see 🙂
