written by reader Anyone hear about Jim Rickards $0.70 Cryptocurrency?

By dukeoneil, January 20, 2018

Wondering if anyone has heard Jim Rickard’s spiel on the $0.70 Cryptocurrnecy that is backed by IBM and is set to shoot higher? Sounds like another way to work on folks fear of missing outand getting them to pony up $2000 for another newsletter…”Crypto Profits.” Any idea what the IBM backed Crypto is?

Well, I’m not sure since I didn’t hear the spiel, but XLM appears to be backed by IBM (google it), but ADA is around .70. Not sure how either would zoom a bunch higher (more than 10x) if you compare their number of units and their current market cap.

Xlm has been backed by IBM for a while don’t think it’s them and with their total supply it doesn’t seem like a 4 digit coin. Also a lot of people in crypto know XLM. I think it may be UTrust UTK .64 CENTS and supposed to replace PayPal

Is this Michael James of Profit Run? He charged $2,000 and I’m following his recommendations. He’s been making good money with Core Holdings, Shorter trades and ICO’s. They have a coach who helps to set up the first few trades. I’m very happy with the service.

It’s xlm. He mentions “CNBC’s Hottest new crypto of 2018”. Look up the article. It’s a perfect fit.

One way….. Join Coinbase.com (popular exchange with 4 popular and solid cryptos) and also Bittrex.com (many cryptos available). XLM is on Bittrex. You have to deposit and buy Bitcoin on Coinbase and then transfer to Bittrex. VERY IMPORTANT: When transferring to Bittrex, you Can Only Transfer Bitcoin Currency, no other coins will be accepted. You can lose your money otherwise. It’s not so hard, when you join Bittrex, get a Receive Address (BTC-XLM “+” sign), copy/paste to Coinbase, when “Sending” Bitcoin. It takes about a half hr to 40 min for the transaction to take place. Once in Bittrex, you can do what you gotta do. WARNING: Make transfers with in single larger sums of money that you’re comfortable with, because the transaction fee is like $14. So keep the them at a minimal, obviously.

To buy XLM, we can also use Ether:
https://www.finder.com/how-to-buy-stellar-lumens.
I wonder if this is a reliable source of services we can use to purchase XLM.

Yes – Binance is quite good so far . You can buy many coins with BTC, ETC and BNB – their own coin . Bittrex btw accepts ETH too . I’m on both .

Hello, I just tried to open an account with bittrex. I was greeted with a note saying they are only accepting new corporate applicant or selected invitee. Are there other exchanges that I can go to buy XLM? THanks

Go to http://www.kraken.com. They vet you pretty well as you go through the different tiers. Buy XLM directly cash no need to use your other cryptos.

Kraken.com is better. You can buy XLM, BTC, ETC, ETH and other cryptos with fiat (US dollars, euros, etc) no need to buy BTC pay a commission, then convert to XLM then pay another commission. With Kraken you buy direct. It’s also safe it took me two weeks to go through their vetting process.

Classic Agora Financial, they’ll string you along as far as you will let them. Us poor people will just have to suck it up! I personally have moved on, I’ve discovered the Foreign Exchange Market. It seems to be as fast as you would like it to be and just as intriguing.

Hi Mark, In this thread, it is Stellar (XLM). You will have to purchase Bitcoin (BTC) and convert to XLM

You don’t have to purchase BTC you can buy it with your fiat currency using the exchange Kraken.com.

Thank you for the clarification. I went on the Stellar home page, and they suggested Bitcoin or Etherum. But good to know from your research / knowledge

I got rid of my Agora newsletter. I received 20+ emails a day from them trying to sell me other newsletters touting the next big thing. The newsletter I was subscribing to wasted more than 90% of space cross-selling their other newsletters. Cancelled after the 3 month trial period. It was Strategic Intelligence. Don’t waste your money. Most of the info they give you in their newsletters is already on the web you just have to find it. It’s not difficult to find. Just google.
