I think it’s mobilecoin. See http://www.mobilecoin.com. My summary follows. A crypto-currency designed to be used by anyone. Payments are private with sub-second transaction times. Key management is easy using 4 to 6 digit PINs. Privacy enhanced by opaque ledger, encrypted (i.e., secure) transactions, and forward-secrecy. User and planet friendly. White paper is here https://www.mobilecoin.com/whitepaper-en.pdf. Quotes from it below (nothing in it is copyrighted): “MobileCoin is an effort to develop a fast, private, and easy to use crypto-currency that can be deployed in resource constrained environments to users who are not equipped to reliably maintain secret keys over a long period… Read More ยป

I don’t think so. Rich Jacobs stated that it would be running it’s own block chain. Mobile coin, while very intriguing, is built off the steller open source platform. Good find though.

So far all I can find is that after raising $850 billion they decided to have a second private ico round. While they were scheduled for a public ico round in March they decided to keep it private. Forbes reported that an investor has to have a minimum of $500k to invest. Still watching it though.

Check segwit2x. I followed some quotes he spoke of in the email and other breadcrumbs.

Nick, segwit2x Bitcoin (BT2) or Futures (BTX)? There was quite a roller coaster ride in Dec/Jan.

Hope this is not too far off the thread…curious what Jim Rickard’s pick is for the only crypto he recommends, backed by IBM.

Stellar (XLM), whose coin is called the Lumen. I already knew they had a relationship with IBM, plus I googled a quote from the sales letter and came up with XLM. It was so easy, I wonder why they give it away like that in the sales letter. And I remember around the time this pitch first came out XLM was around 70 cents. Now it’s 28 cents! (A good thing or a bad thing?) “Both Stellar and IBM are part of a project called Hyperledger Fabric” In his other service (Strategic bla bla) Rickards raves about Hyperledger Fabric, though… Read More ยป

Thanks for the info. Looking at it. Interesting…this fiercely competitive financial revolution and wondering what the central banks have up their sleeve to retain their grip. So many of these initial offerings are private sales for the whales now anyway. So many coins to sift through.
