i watched the whole video and the november $1M BTC giveaway. Teeka has recommended Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple in the past. The “Ethereum of China” is NEO.
The big announcement he predicts for April 2nd is that Goldman Sachs will go public with their Crypto Trading Desk. Tons of institutional money, pension funds, hedgefunds (120BTC hedgefunds approx $3TR) are predicted to flow into crypto market.
Teeka says Coinbase is becoming a qualified custodian and has shared as an example that a $10B order from institutional player has pledged and is waiting to get into BTC. If there is $84.9TR assets under management and even 1% flows into cryptos that’s $849B influx. Teeka predicts BTC will go to $350k in next couple years.
Obviously he is very bullish on cryptos and wants as many to sign up for his Palm Beach Letter as possible. I would counter that you can learn how to trade watching YouTube videos. I have not signed up for PBL but am learning how to do technical analysis and trade on my own instead of relying on a PBL type service that sends potentially stale recs only monthly. Cryptos are very volatile so be prepared for massive price swings. I believe the coins on Coinbase are safe long-term bets. I’ve read that Travis holds Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum. Hope my decoding is helpful to our Gummie community. I’ve appreciated Travis’ research and member’s comments greatly since November. I’m grateful I found this service and can finally share something back ๐Ÿ™‚

Just my opinion on BCH BitcoinCash, its very fishy and in my honest opinion a scam. Roger Ver, the CEO on bitcoin.com is pushing BCH instead of the original Bitcoin BTC on bitcoin.com…..lots of highly respected cryptocurrency professionals and enthusiasts have called him out on this. Also when BCH was first listed on Coinbase, there was a sharp drop in price, telling me he got everyone for their money. For him to own the domain rights to bitcoin.com and blockchain.com tells me something. Do couple google searches and see why increasing the size of the blocks on the blockchain (bitcoin cash increased the blocks from 3MB to 8MB) is actually not a solution to the scaling and usability of bitcoin as an internet currency.

Read the whitepapers on Bitcoin, it was meant to be decentralized, aka not owned by anyone. Unfortunately there is abuse because early adopters like Ver and even govt for instance like china owning Costco size warehouses dedicated to bitcoin of BTC, have seen unfathomable gainz. As we get closer to the max supply of Bitcoin, 21 mill, minning for new coins will be more costly and difficult for processors/chips. Because theres a set cap on bitcoin, some analysts are predicting crazy numbers, like 350K. We’ve seen 20K, so I am deff bullish on getting back to 20K. I will look to possibly cash out around 30-45K depending on how risky I want to be. Now I am not sure about anything, but what I do know, I am cash out on my gains before the massive sell-off that typically happens around December/January and reinvest some and keep cash. End of the day, cash is what you need to pay for things and I believe were still far away from bitcoin being classified as a currency.

Tiwari recommended getting out of BCH as soon as it was issued & then later re-recommended it.

Yes, you can learn how to trade using online videos. But I’ve come to believe (confession: I do have a lifetime sub to PBC) that all these coins/tokens need to be fully vetted by someone who fully understands them. AND that person needs to be a recognized “player.” About 95-99% of the coins out there are garbage, and I certainly don’t have the expertise to vet them myself. So far, PBC has paid off handsomely, even with the drastic correction so far this year.

Doug Casey has a dire warning for the demise of most cryptos by July 24 th. Don’t know how much credence to give it.

Maybe so but keep in mind…Try to think like the elitist banksters. They crashed the system in 1929 and in 2008 for certain. Many crypto experts state it isn’t possible to do it with cryptos but there are a few ‘black swans’ out there that no one can see. We’re in uncharted territory and the ‘impossible’ could certainly prove out to be possible.

I doubt if Casey will be correct with his timing as he’s almost never been in the past but the concept of the Banksters coming up with their own cryptos is factual.
How they will get the masses to accept them remains to be seen but NEVER underestimate their nefarious plans and ability to carry them out.

I signed up to one of Doug Caseys newsletters predicting gold would soar in april 208 because of some Amnesty in India, he recommended a number of small miners fand went on about leverage. Complete tosh on the timing, I moved a significant amount into Gold in February 18 and anybody that follows gold knows whats happened since then, sure it will come back (We hope) but Now I havee signed up to Travis and use seekingalpha I know so much more about “gold” and the cycles in markets. The Casey report I read said nothing and explained very little it was just a marketing hook, shortly after invited to marijuana millionaire 5×500 and thankfully did not sign up , straight after a bear market on Cannabis sticks until about 4 weeks ago. Doug Casey also wrote in one newsletter April 18 own gold and not miners – market crash imminent , presumably he meant get a truck load delivered and store it in the cupboard !! Anyway thankfully I didn’t buy and solid gold (and dont know how I would !!) as its gone down ever since. Presumably as cryptos have been up since about 24th July DC was wrong about that as well. I personally own 30 coins or blockchain initiatives based on Teeka Tiwari’s list and a couple of others. All down since Jan, but for me due diligence says its the future and we are very early , cryptos are at a 1 year low from my experience and whats to lose !!

Be VERY WARY of Bitcoin and many others. What they don’t disclose (hidden in the blockchain stats/regulations) is the fact that the holders are allowed at any time to vote on expanding (or reducing) the ‘Limited Supply’. All it takes is a less than 50 percent vote…check it out. (Jeff Berwick did and wrote me back that it will be handled, LOL! This needs to be broadcast everywhere but I’ve yet to see that happen!!!

Those not making any money in crypto all say the same thing. Ray Dalio says the government may stop Americans from owning Bitcoin like they did during FDR with gold. But Dalio hasn’t done his due diligence on why Americans had to turn in their gold in 1933. They need to print more money and since our currency was tied to gold they needed all the gold they could get to print money to get out of the Great Depression. Nothing is backing our dollar today but thin air and they can print all the dollars they want as long as it is the Reserve Currency. Forcing anyone to turn in Bitcoin for worthless dollars would be difficult and of little value to getting us out of our current problems.

Hello and thanks for your comment. Is it necessary / critical to act immediately after each recommendation and is it really necessary to buy all 32 of PBC recommendations to achieve significant success?

I cannot profess to be an expert or say my notes are advice because its all a gamble !! But answers 1. Not really necessary to act straight away as you can set a limit order at the price your happy with. But all the cryptos are a way under his buy upto now so I would buy now as I personally started buying crypto projects in Nov 17 made something quickly and then lost something even more quickly. I have just bought a little more of each as some Altcoins are 80% lower than I originally bought (so are some of Casey and Hodges Gold and mining stocks) !! To stand a chance of a 1000% gain then the answer would seem to be probably you do have to buy them all as its a rather needle in a haystack – that said you may never see 1000% gain. That said I like Teekas rationale from his work on each project he does pick projects with value and purpose where you can see the potential if blockchain is the future. If you are in for 5 years, belive in the blockchain and want to stand a chance of some gain then just BTC could be good , but as Teeka always says you have to be prepared to lose everything you put in. The overall thing Teeka does not make clear he says put 200-350 into each for a small account but what he never says outright is that you need to put >15K USD in to cover them all off. Some of the cryptos are 10cents or less !!.

One advantage of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is that both are limited to 21 million and the production ends, which is being predicted to happen in 2040.

Yes…I invest in Crypro and know all about LEND. Best time to buy will be once you are sure the market is not a falling knife. It does have potential.

Teeka Tiwari from Palm Beach Confidential was just hawking his new pick and subscription on 3/14…he claims big money is coming in. Can’t even tell people that the “Chinese” Ethereum he chose a while ago is NEO and he picked XRP in Nov. Now he is pushing something that sound a lot like Substratum based on what he said (just under 100 million market cap and under 50 cents a coin). But of course you have to pay him $3K to find out…which I am not doing. I subscribe to his newsletter and that is enough. Also saw Gentile’s presentation. There is a use case need.

I’m well into Ripple and Civic already. Sold all my Ripple early for a supposed huge profit and bought in again last month at about .79 USD. BUT, I doubt I actually made a profit since Ripple, and all alt coins for that matter, are only redeemable in BTC which pretty much rises and falls in step with most of the major coins. In other words, it did me now good to show a 1,000% gain against the dollar for my Ripple position. So my sale of Ripple was probably a lateral move with no real gain in BTC. See what I mean.
So, if I’m right that I didn’t really have a net gain because BTC is the crypto currency standard, how in heck does anyone trade for profit? BTC is still the only Crypto redeemable for USD, right?

You trade your alts back for more BTC than what you started with. Stay patient and in the summer we will begin to see the massive bull run of BTC to at least 20K. I do not care for any cryptocurrency other than BTC, LTC (litecoin) and EOS (a token still in ico that you can get on an exchange). You must put that EOS token into a erc-2 compatible wallet to redeem the actual EOS when it goes live in June. If EOS promises what it says it will be, it will be better platform that ETH (ethereum)

Hi Folks, sorry to be late to the topic. I have a contrary opinion of Teeka. It’s from my experience with cryptos. Since mid 2017, I’ve researched and written about the field for myself & others. I own cryptos, have watched webinars/ infomercials and when available read articles from Teeka Tiwari, James Altucher, Martin Weiss of Weiss Ratings, Tama Churchouse, & Dr. Richard Smith, CEO of TradeStops and Crypto. TradeSmith. Most importantly, I receive input from 2 crypto programmers/ investors since 2008 and belong to two excellent crypto services. I considered Teeka’s service but rejected it. His self-reported knowledge comes from traveling to meet people, attending conferences and using the 1990s’ dot.com and 2000 bomb episodes as his current model for his decision-making. He does not know programming to identify shams, does not use mathematical or cyclic data to guide his forecasts and overstates or misrepresents available research. He has called for the “Second Boom” on 2 or 3 occasions now and simply bases that pronouncement on upcoming conferences or GS’s Trading Desk. Lastly, his offering of a newsletter does not sound like much for his price. For my money, any of the above competitors may be better options. I would recommend comparing at least one or two others before buying. Either way, I wish everyone great success after great patience.

Hi Ray,
Please know, my goal isn’t to promote one service over the other of the crypto “gurus.” If you look at the criteria I cited as missing with the preferred one here, I think you’ll find your answer. Besides, there are far more expensive services than $3750. Whatever you decide, be patient. It takes a long time for most societal change to be accepted!

Good afternoon Ray,
I am not familiar with Weiss Ratings for Crypto, but I am familiar with his services for stocks.
I was a subscriber to his basic service (10-15 yrs ago). He was a bear at the time and was predicting a stock market apocalypse for years.
I eventually subscribed to a premium service called Irvin’s something (?) which was a subscription for moves in Interest Rates. (I do not recall much about the name, other than it was named after his Father, but I do recall it cost me $5000 back then).
I did not have any success with his basic service because of his bearish contrarian outlook at the time (I am a contrarian also!) and I lost a significant amount of monies following both of his services.
Times change & people change. I am just relating my experience w/ Weiss Ratings from over a decade ago. As for me, I would not subscribe to his advice and you can mark me down as NOT a fan. Good luck investing.

I like Dr. Smith, smart dude and certainly trustworthy. Hoping things will change in time since service is only five months old. Please keep your feedback coming, thanks again

Hi Gord,
I’m not certain if any crypto service is meeting retail investors’ expectations due to the general financial malaise in that market. I’m glad you perceive time, in other words, patience as a virtue. I worry about those who sought immediate returns and bought the hyped 2nd or 3rd Crypto Boom sales pitch for this month. NYC’s Blockchain Week and its Consensus Conference have come and gone with lower prices as the result. In recent presentations, I’ve encouraged investors to look for
1. blockchain adoptions by large corporations including blue chips;
2. crypto platforms being built by Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Bloomberg;
3. purchases by institutional investors like Wellington, hedge funds, etc.; &
4. purchases by large international transfers (like Iran) and billionaires;
as positive indicators for the potential value of about 2% of all cryptos.
Likewise, investors may want to consider the qualifiers and credibility of their data sources and what their timeframe is and why. You have chosen one of the very best services out there in my opinion. I wish you all the best as we look towards 2020 or thereabouts! Thanks for writing, Gord!
Linda

Hmmm, I guess I put someone’s panties in a wad here because my comments are sent for moderation. I can’t imagine what I would have said that would have triggered someone so not sure why but, okay…

Moderation is triggered by lots of different things, all automatic. New commenters are likely to have their first comment set aside for moderation, and words that the system identifies as often used in โ€œspamโ€ comments, or comments with multiple links, are also frequently tagged.

We use a light hand in moderation, itโ€™s primarily to keep a lid on the 1,000+ spam and not-generated comments we get most days, and comments can only come out of moderation when a human is working, so sometimes it takes a little while. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Many comments are moderated, both randomly and using screeners to stop spam. Sometimes no one is working so review takes a little while. Those that are not approved usually fall outside our guidelines โ€” either folks trying to buy or sell something, or personal attacks or profanity.

Hi Folks,

Just had my attention called to this thread… so I need to let you know that Stock Gumshoe is a place for discussion, not a trading post or exchange for buying and selling information, and our discussion threads should not be used to solicit, or to coordinate any transactions.

You’re welcome to discuss marketing or ideas or whatever you like here, but I’d caution you not to try to buy or sell anything in a semi-anonymous group like this. I haven’t seen all the comments go through here, I’m sure most of them are well-meaning and we try to automatically block clear solicitations, but there’s also plenty of room for people to be taken advantage of when enthusiastic about a heavily marketed promotion. I’d also urge our readers not to post private contact information, like email addresses, in this entirely public forum.

I found out that Nicoya Research is the few trustworthy crypto analysts, with real analysis of the crypto project wihout the fancy marketing storytelling around.
At the end he is recommending just big players like Cardano, Chainlink, Cosmos, Band.
All of them leaders in DeFi, Oracle, or other Crypto sub-categories. Worth reading monthly newsletter.
