Could it be Gildex coin?
Haven’t read that article, though various “backed by gold” cryptocurrencies have been touted from time to time — in general, I think it’s a stupid idea. If you want gold, just buy gold… a cryptocurrency backed by gold is very likely to be judged and valued like gold since there’s very little chance that they’re doing anything else innovative to create value. If you want leverage to gold and are ready to take a little risk to get it, buy an established company that provides leverage to the gold price (like a royalty company or a miner).
