They all seem to promise the moon and cost a fortune. Do any live up to the hype? Are any reasonably priced?

It depends on your situation and how much you know about investing and cryptos. If you’re looking for tips, an issue is that a lot of these markets are quite illiquid so when somebody publishes a recommendation there can be a spike, although it’s usually temporary. Palm Beach Confidential is OK but it’s not taking new subscribers just now. I tried a c0uple of others, one cheap and one expensive and I didn’t find either helpful. I’ve done quite well by doing my own research and reading white papers; obviously that takes time and the hope is that the newsletters will do some of that work for you. You don’t necessarily have to be an active investor; a lot of the spectacular performance claimed by the newsletters can be attributed just to being in the market, so you could perhaps buy the largest 8-10 issues by market cap if you think the prospects for the market as a whole are good. The Crypto Investor channel on YouTube is free and he does reasonable general market commentary, probably as actionable as you’ll get from some of the newsletters. If you need “how to” instruction, there’s also a lot of that on YouTube for free.
Specifically on whether the newsletters measure up to the hype, well they happen to have been benefiting from a wild bull market, but apart from that, they measure up to the hype about as much as the stock newsletters that Travis discusses. Most investment newsletters do provide at least some value in suggesting ideas and approaches.
On marketing hype, I’ve been receiving heavy promotion for a newsletter (not one I’ve subscribed to, it might be great, who knows) written by a “former Vice President” at a major investment bank. Vice President sounds like a pretty exalted job title to those who don’t know the financial services industry but actually it’s a couple of steps above intern or graduate trainee.
James Altucher. I signed up for the James Altucher Choose Yourself program which includes Altucher’s Crypto Trader,Microcap X Advisory,3 Minute Daily Trader, Altucher’s Top 1% Advisory, Altucher’s Secret Income, and the James Altucher Report. James internet add describes how to gain crazy percentage returns “1000% guaranteed in the stock market”, “His Secret $1.8 Million
Cryptocurrency Script which he claimed ended Feb 2nd. The date has now been changed to April 27th no reason given other than Amazon didn’t announce they were going to accept Bitcoin. That there is a Crypto thats trades for less than $ 2.00 that will make you a millionaire. I joined knowing the numbers were always going to be best possible case scenarios and was not expecting crazy return. I did however expect a positive return which has not been the case. The issue I have is that he doesn’t provide any of the trade information from sales pitches, in his emails to you. I have read every article on all 5 of his programs. A lot of the emails I receive are of James trying to sell you someone else’s penny stock program, or marijuana program. He sends out a lot if videos in his reports that are life stories repeated over and over just formatted different, so you end up wasting time reading the same information 4 or 5 times every couple of months. James splatters the internet with popup adds coming across as genuine. According to CNN he has spent 2.7 million on internet advertising. James claims that he can break computer codes and give you crypto picks far in advance so you can get in early. In 4 months I have yet to see one. I have the whole package everything he can sell you. Fortunately I didn’t pay close to retail.
First starting out can be tough as your getting into a whole different world if you haven’t traded crypto’s, it’s easy to get caught up in a sales pitch and be someones prey. If I had it to do over I would not spend the thousands, hoping your buying use full, valuable information. There is plenty of good quality advice on several forums, evaluate it for yourself, do your own research and in get in slowly. Once they have your money they are very non responsive and appear to not be concerned with the questions or issues you have with the Choose Yourself Program. I am trying to figure out how to do a post on Google to help people understand this is just a business to James and his staff as they have not shown otherwise. The sales of subscriptions appears to be James and his staff main concern. The sales staff will push you to purchase as much as they can squeeze out of you. This was the first quote of his Feb 22nd letter which I found ironic “People will give you bad advice. People will try to scam you every day…”
What do you think of the amazon announcement coming? In his teaser he talks about another alt coin and I wonder which it is?
The date on this has come and gone several times already. He keeps changing it. I think those boys are full of it.
Amazon is going to create its own crypto is what I’ve read.
But FYI, Stansberry is recommending a buy on Overstock (OSTK) because they control the blockchain technology companies that have the software that the so-called new ID coin uses. OSTK is at a record low, $35 +/-, so it is definitely a buy. With a $50 trailing stop
Altucher has been pitching that Amazon blockchain rumor for ages, who knows if it will ever mean anything. Overstock has been accepting bitcoin for purchases for a long time, and it has had no impact on their sales that I can see.
Overstock is getting talked up for its blockchain investments, to be sure, but it is nowhere near at record low — it’s almost at a six-month low after the boom and bust of the cryptocurrency talk over the winter, but the price has mostly been in the teens over the past five years.
13 in the top 20 are under $100 per coin/share
Does anyone know about Adam Sharp’s Early Investor newsletter. He is recently touting about “The Easy Guide to Thousands in FREE Crypto,”. Has anyone seen this one before…?
Yep, but you have to use a lot of your time on downloading a specific software and following/sharing on different social media so I started on it and simply just gave up.
The recipe is a clean e-mail, some new crypto wallets and then going on diff. freebie crypto sites and start collecting.
