anyone know what he is pitching…and has anyone had a good or bad experience with this guy Altucher
I previously signed up for his crypto package (500 bucks/quarter) which I let expire. The advise was mixed. I can say however that their crypto portfolio overall did not lose much money (except for Decred, ugh – which sold before the drop). If you pay close attention to the article he says “Not to mention, four of five advisors are former employees of Coinbase and still have close associations there.” There is only one coin which meets this criteria, which is 0X (ZRX). I would disregard the reference to $0.94. It’s very likely he is right BTW, the team and concept could make this explode (based on Coinbase adoption). Speculative? Yes. Promising? Yes to that as well.

So I came up with KNC – Khyber Network Crystals.
ZRX is listed on the big Exchanges like Binance, Bittres and Poloniex – KNC is not. When did ZRX have a 1000% run-up in 2017 (Went from $0.11 to $0.68)? KNC went from a $0.26 ICO price to $2,90 in 2017. I noticed that since KNC is not going to provide conversions to fiat currencies, not only are they not competing with Coin Base, they specifically advertise Coin Base as an Exchange to use in acquiring your initial coins – why would KNC give Coin Base free advertising unless there was an agreement? Oh, because there probably is one. Am I wrong?
Also, like ZRX, KNC is in the top 100 coins/tokens for Market Cap according to coinmarketcap.com. Not bad for a coin that is not listed on any big exchanges!
My guess is that it’s either BSC or XRP
I am a subscriber to Altucher’s basic newsletter $49.99 annual.
I too received this offer by email. I did a ton of Research and went through the top 150 coins as well as any coin that was $1.50 or less. ZRX (Ox) is the only one that fits the criteria (clues provided in initial offer letter). It was at $0.94 at one point, then dropped well below this, and according to ZRX website, they have 4 Advisors “Not five” From what I read and reconfirmed 2x, on their website, 3 of the 4 advisors were former employees of CoinBase. Of ALL my research I could not find any other Crypto under $1.50 (out of 1566 listed) that fits this criteria.
In other words no other crypto has more than one advisor that as a former employee of coin base. I could be wrong, but about 99% sure. Be sure to do your own research.
I also subscribed to Altucher’s newsletter and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It is just a forum for his views on how to live and narcissistic autobiographical rants. Ox is indeed the only crypto I could find that has several advisors formerly at Coinbase. The exact numbers and price are just to throw people off. Altucher is a really smart guy so he may have done just enough for people to figure everything out for reasons known only to him.
I also bought his $49 newsletter. You are right about him filling out the newsletter with a lot of personal blather and self-help cheer-leading. Oh and those ‘narcissistic autobiographical rants” I think are meant to be skipped over. But in fairness I went in big with Overstock.com in October based on his recommendation and doubled my money in two months. I think it is fair to say that I have derived ONE solid investment tip in each of his monthly newsletters. Is it worth $49? Definitely. Is it worth $1500? Not to me. BTW Khyber Network Crystal (KNC) was my pick.

I also did the $49 newsletter deal–thanks to all of your insights I will not go any further in “investing” any more funds with James. Seemed to be really sincere –but I get email after email about this or that to “join” —and James is “giving” this away at a deal pricing. I did the investigation on a couple of call outs like Aqrobles and found the same thing true—James also did mention 95% of them in the Cryto coins were scams—so with your “money” be aware of what is “really” out there.
I just saw his new presentation for a $4,000 newsletter. What did I pay him $49 for? All I get are pitches for more newsletters, no tips, besides buy bit coins that already popped, on dips. He has a good pitch. I’ll give him that, but not $4,000. If anyone knows what coins he likes for ICO’s I’d like to know. What really scares me off is his belief in arbitrage trading. His limited coin, limitless demand four-word formula is compelling. His so-called refund sucks. It’s another free year of the newsletter if the first year doesn’t work. Big wow.
i subscribed to Altucher’s “Newsletter,” and his “Secret Income” and both returned a modest profit. His crypto advice so far remains inconclusive.
I think he’s smart and sincere, but he’s also a salesman, and needs to constantly be selling a product.
I will review his future offerings, and possibly indulge if the data seems compelling.
