The company seems to be investing a lot of money into other companies from around the world. Is this a company to watch for the longterm?

Yes, I think so. Softbank is kind of the Berkshire Hathaway of Japan, thanks to maverick founder/CEO Masayoshi Son.
Terrifying amount of leverage for a venture speculator, but he rolls the dice big and has had some huge wins over the years.
Currently overvalued I think
