written by reader What are your thoughts on the popular Japanese Retail Company MUJI (or Ryohin Keikaku)?

Has anyone ever heard of the company? I had a chance to visit one of their stores in Asia[1], and while its presence in North America seems limited at the moment (like ~ 20 stores) they seemed to be a big deal/high growth company especially in Japan[2], Korea[3], and China[4]. I like their business model (and also their ”no-brand” policy) and would like to invest but some factors (PE of 34 and Price/Book of 6) make me a bit hesitant.
You can find the basic information on Wikipedia and Bloomberg[5] (JP 7453). Does anyone think it’s a good company to own?
