It is been teased in plenty newsletters; 5G is arriving and this seemingly generates enormous investing opportunities. I would appreciate good suggestions from Gumshoe community.

And I presume you believe 5g will be a good thing, aside from profits?

  2. It’s pretty early to figure out how long the transition will take, and who will win — it will enable a lot of amazing stuff eventually, once coverage is robust and widespread.

The conventional thoughts I hear on this most often are the semi stocks, Qualcomm and Broadcom and Skyworks and others, the tower companies who will be leasing more space for antennas (though 5G will likely require a lot more locations, and the towers might be under pressure first if Tmobile and Sprint ever actually merge and get rid of one of their customers), and the equipment makers (Ericcson, Nokia, Huawei, etc.)

I do have exposure to QCOM and SWKS among those, personally, but I don’t yet have a sense of when the financial impact will begin or who will “win”, if anyone.

From what I read, there are positive and negatives regarding 5G. Many are aware of the direction 5G could impose on humanity. (Aside from AI). Two major concerns are that 5G will enable all appliances, etc. to be metered individually-having the capability to be randomly turned off or on by others; the exposure to EMF’s increases significantly. ( Are not standards for EMF use in EU more restrictive than in USA?) Moreover, there are reports that 5G does not perform well in rainy weather. It may be a longer roll-out than many are hoping for, although I see a new connection in my network for 5G, ready and waiting.

Anyone have any idea what is being teased in the “Ultranet – 3 stocks for the 5G Revolution”. It is being pushed by Angel Publishings by an offshoot of Energy and Capital publication.

I was wrong about the rollout of 5G; it is not dependent on installations of Smart Meters. Yesterday I was able to get WiFi with my router turned off…and low and behold my older sound system would not play CDs. I was perplexed and concerned, suspecting the obvious. Later in the day after I turned my router back on, I got the notification on my Roku device that I was connected to 5G. Needless to say, I was horrified.
I live in a town of fewer than 10,000 citizens, miles and miles away from just a small city. I thought in my semi-rural region I had at least a year to prepare. For those of you who would like to familiarize yourself to the pros and cons of 5G, cell phones, and Smart Meters, check out the following link”.

Based on further reading, it seems that there are glitches in the software that computes electricity usage from 5G – favoring utility companies, of course. I bought shares of XLU today. Good luck to us all.
