Amazon minting their own cryptocurrencies will totally disrupt currency as we know it; and, how we buy things will be changed forever. The Bonner and Bonner tease does not provide much useful information; except that one company is located in California, if I remember the podcast accurately. Perchance, our “Leader”, our “Grand Poobah”, the “Big Cheese”, our “Brother-in-Arms”, Travis, can track down the “clues left by the Bonner and Bonner original pitch. Then, looking at the MAJOR Blockchain Players; AMD, NVDA, and IBM, with IBM merely “pledging” to be a leader in the Blockchain. In order to have the capabilities to mine cryptocurrencies, the semiconductors must use GPUs, not CPUs. Both AMD and NVDA use GPUs, as do most gaming semiconductors. In my humble opinion, from a man who is fighting desperately, not to go “quietly, or quickly into the dark night”. I have end stage Head and Neck Cancer and view Travis as my “Guardian Angel” who is helping this small investor, with a smaller amount of revenue to invest, (working the past 25 years as a State Trooper left me with a tremendous amount of satisfaction; however, with an insignificant amount of capital.) But, I digress; continuing, I believe the two companies to be AMD and NVDA. Trooper

Those are typical stocks pitched by most folks when it comes to crypto currencies…. though they’ve both noted that crypto mining demand for the chips has fallen to almost nothing and will likely keep falling. Blockchain mining was never a major business for either, just a major story driver.

It would t be surprising if Amazon experimented a little with crypto currencies, but I don’t expect them to do anything dramatic. Amazon is all about serving customers, and customers don’t want a new, slower, less secure and more confusing way to pay.
