True Market Insiders.

I have tried their TMI introductory service for $79/year and have also taken their TAM course which is a technical analysis course.

I found the intro service to be inadequate. Buy signals are given but no exits. The ETF signals have been less profitable than using my own system. There have been some signals for stocks which were given on separate e-mails that I received. Overall those performed poorly with one big winner if you knew when to exit and no exits were given. I suppose that other subscribers might have had different results but these results were what I found over a period of about 6 months.

The technical analysis course was mainly a review of what I learned 20+ years ago. I agreed with some of Chris Rowe’s technical indicators which I also use. Other indicators which he favors I have never found profitable, but it isn’t unusual for different technical analysts differ on their system indicators. There is a lot in the course but if you are not interested in learning or brushing up on technical analysis it would not be of too much use. Also some very good indicators are not covered.

Mr. Rowe’s explanation of his BPI indicators was useful especially if you are going to buy the Sector Prophets Pro (SPP) system for $2000 to $4000. Chris Rowe has experience as a trader on an exchange and I found his insights into what large interests are doing behind the charts and the indicators to be educational and interesting.

I took the course because I wanted to see if his SPP system could be used with my system and because I am always looking for ways to improve my own profitable system which was designed to trade mostly ETFs.

I was unable to reconcile the two systems. With SPP the relative strength of the sectors are continually moving while my with my system they are more stable allowing longer position holding times until being stopped out. Due to the SPP movements the ratings in relative strength seem to be constantly changing which seems to make it difficult to know when to exit a sector and replace it with another sector.

I contacted TMI but they were apparently not interested in helping me to try to align the two systems so I decided to save the $2000-$4000 expense of trying their SPP even with a 60 day refund offered. This also caused me to wonder if they would help a subscriber who was having any problems with the SPP system which seems to be somewhat complex. Since I did not buy the SPP system I can’t comment personally on its profitability, or how much work is required to use it profitably.

As others have noted, once you are a customer your in-box will be filled with promotional e-mails on their various services which many people would find objectionable.

I think that if you are looking for some good prospects among individual stocks with good fundamental analysis and with not much personal work involved you might be better off with the Gumshoe at $59/year than with other services at much higher prices.

Gumshoe also seems to have good risk management in his use of position size and options/leaps, something that many other services don’t offer.

If you believe TaaS is going to take off in the USA then ARKQ is probably the best bet unless you are psychic and know which stocks will be the winners.

Hi. I had SPP service from TMI and I found it to be very complex and just confusing for a new trader. So after a month (~30 days), I was able to ask for the full refund. The option are far in the money with farther expiration dates, therefore, need more money to invest.

On the contrary, I bought one of his service called Deep Market Trader. With this service, he pick picks the recommendation stocks which are poorly performed. All picked stocks are in deep red, with 1-2 in barely green. I called TMI and speak with their customer service and I was denied for the refund since I was over the 60 days grace period.

Chris Rowe has several services which I cannot make comments for all of them. However, Sector Focus Pro seemed very complicated and I will not recommend the Deep Market Trader ($1,999).

I joined Profit Skimmer in late July of 2020. I have participated in 20 trades so far. Of these, 14 have been winners (gains ranging from a low of 5% to a high of 107%), four 100% losses, and two trades that are still open. So, while I haven’t gotten rich off of it, I don’t regret signing up.

Hi, Robert, I have been a long term subscriber to Sector Focus and TMI and I do find that they are the best place to learn technical analysis. Chris Rowe does a very fantastic job on that. Today I just come across Costas’ Profit Skimmer Chartered member invitation and 1 year subscription is at $1197.- Wondering if this is what you have been paying for and are you still a member? Are you happy with the 2022 result? I am interested to sign up, anyone else is interested to share the service?

I am a relatively new investor. I have been buying stocks for years, and have done fairly well because I went along with the crowd on the FAANG stocks. But when it comes to investing and needing to figure out where the market might go based on technical analysis I was and am still a newbie. But I learned a lot about options from TMI’s Option Soup. Since I wasn’t a seasoned investor, I found the Technical Analysis Millionaire very helpful, and there is no renewal fee. I do use Sector Prophet Pro, and found it extremely helpful in targeting new investments. Using SPP I realized I should at least temporarily exit the tech stocks and go into the commodity type investments. That move proved to be very helpful to me, and more than paid for the annual fee. I have had success with Profit Skimmer and its short term vertical credit spreads. I am up far more than I paid for the subscription. A 100% loss on a trade does wipe out several successful trades. I have at least learned something about options, and will continue this service. I think I will stick with SPP for as long as its offered. The sectors do move direction somewhat quickly, but I’ve been able to follow the moves for a year, and have been able to use the BPI and market strength indicators to pick up some good investments.

I do have a complaint about all these services, and Oxford is the worst. If I happen to buy one or more services, and don’t want to be sold anything else, I wish there were a way to turn off the follow up sales pitches. I’d like to say….I’ve got what I want, don’t send me anything else.

I think the worst service is RangingBull. I have services from them and Jeff Bishop is everywhere on his picks on his Family Portfolio. On December 2020, the company had a lawsuit and all services were frozen for almost 6 months. I sent several request for refund, and they refused to grant my request despite their missing in action for almost 6 months.

Another lawsuit, this Trading Service should GO for good. I stopped following them even with few more months before the expiration dates of my subscriptions. This will be a lesson learn for me that I will never forget.

Does anyone know any services that protect the rights of Traders from having to face an experience like this? I hate to pay huge $$ for a lawyer. Anyone use Better Business Bureau?

Your comments are very much appreciated.

Hi, there, are you still with TMI? I have a lifetime membership with TAM and of his numerous services, Chris Rowe has been actively promoting Dark Money Indicator by Costas Bocelli. I have tried following a few of his alerts ( he sometimes shared with TMI members)and they did have some decent returns within days to weeks.
Wondering anyone in this family signed up with the DMI and how does it go …?
Will appreciate your feedback .
