After reading Stock Gumshoe for the last 5 years I have come away with the realization that it would be much easier for you folks to list only the trustworthy, useful
publications. If some actually exist, the list would be very short and your jobs would be much easier.
What say you?

Many of the newsletter publications are trustworthy and provide interesting reading and sometimes reasonably well-performing stock picks… we host reader reviews and rankings so that people can share their opinions on them and give some perspective.
I do think that most readers are primed to be disappointed with almost any newsletter, especially the more expensive ones, if they believe the BS that the newsletters use in their marketing… I’d say there isn’t a single newsletter out there that’s anywhere near as good as the promises they make when trying to recruit new subscribers. So we try to defuse that marketing a bit, get the focus back to the actual stocks being talked about, and give readers a chance to comment on the newsletters and share their experiences (we don’t actually subscribe to the newsletters whose ads we cover… that would be cheating).
