Attending a local shareholders meeting?

By RampageKy, April 11, 2019

My only experience with Annual Meetings is Berkshire 2017. I was thinking about taking a morning off work to attend an annual meeting for a clinical research firm (Medpace) here in Cincinnati. The agenda is as boring as they get: elect one director (yes, one) and elect the auditor. I thought it might be interesting to see what a ”normal” meeting is like, and it could be a chance to make a local connection with another shareholder that I wouldn’t make otherwise. And I’m sure they would have coffee.

Any thoughts on whether it’s worth the time to attend meetings for obscure run of the mill companies? The actual business of the meeting will probably take five minutes, so I’m not sure what to expect.
