Hello Fellow Irregulars! Did anyone watch the 2019 Health and Wealth Summit last Thursday with Newt Gingrich and Marc Lichtenfeld[1] focused on the burgeoning gene therapy treatments in the health industry? Marc Lichtenfeld advertised the top 5 gene therapy companies and how to ”play them” in ”The Complete Gene Therapy Profit Guide” that is part of his Lightning Trend newsletter but at a non-refundable $2200 a year which I can’t afford. Anybody know the companies? Thanks!

I gave up waiting for the names after about 30 minutes of scammish promotional double-speak. I’m certain I’ll be spammed for weeks by these guys trying to get me to subscribe which I won’t. I stuck around only long enough to hear him describe the first company as being in the $50 dollar range and poised to jump soon as the next Abbott Labs or Novartis. This kind of promotion is usually a pump and dump so I don’t even care what the five tickers are now, though I did pose the question to Google and landed on your site asking the same question . I’m a big fan of Newt but this was a huge disappointment and waste of time.

No but I wish I did

I (unfortunately) wasted an hour and a half listening to the broadcast in its entirety with pen in hand. It was strictly a promotional waste of time as it was a total ad for signing up for the latest gimmick. I was so mad at the end and angered that Newt would allow himself to be used in such a blatant gimmick (wonder how fat his bank account got for prostituting himself like that). Went to the site link listed at the end thinking surely after all this we will be rewarded with the names of these 5 stocks for showing up so that we can decide if spending $4000 (marked down today only until midnight, yada, yada, yada to a mere blah, blah, blah) would be worthwhile, but no – nothing, nada, nix, zip, zero. And yes, I have been spammed relentlessly with counter offers and phone numbers to call if I have any questions on how to get in on their latest non-refundable offer…I guess a sucker really IS born every minute. Signed Sucker.

I watched for 15 minutes and concluded it was a hyper pitch and not worth continuing. But I am interested in speculating in gene therapy cos. Any suggestions re services that might be good in gene therapy area?

Perhaps researching for companies that make up an ETF focused on biotech would lead for the top candidates (!?). (USA, Canadian, European, Asian) ETFs are known to always have a varied mix (large, medium & small cap) as they refresh their lists yearly, hint: watch for the evergreens, newcomers and deadbeats. From the main ETF biotech list, select those companies which are mainly into gene therapy by distilling/filtering the list, for example – how many “gene therapy” USPTO patents each has? hoping this helps and someone reports back. Thank you for sharing your comments, suggestions and ideas.

I would strongly check on these three gene editing companies: EDIT, CRSP, and NTLA. Other gene related companies that I like are: MYGN, SGMO, and ILMN.

I recommend looking at EDIT, CRSP, NTLA, MYGN, SGMO, and ILMN.

I watched the entire thing with Newt and Marc….all the way to the end. While I am excited about the new gene therapy technology, I am very frustrated that it was all just a very long commercial to get us to pay thousands of dollars (non-refundable, of course). I was thinking the same thing “I wonder how much Newt is getting paid for this”. I have 3 of the Oxford Grp Newsletters and there is some good info in there but every single day I get a new email from them about a “NEW” newsletter they are selling that is going to rock my world and make me a millionaire. It gets old and it makes me feel like the 3 newsletters I currently subscribe to are just ordinary picks and not worth much. 🙁

I took the bait on newsletter but not stocks. In watching, 3 of them are down significantly over last 2o days, 1 is stagnant and one has small growth. I believe the 3 losers would have kicked out on recommended stop sell limit.
