What are the latest thoughts on Netflix? The Fool was promoting it not long ago, what is the current belief in it after yesterday’s short coming?

I was an early subscriber to the service, and will continue up to a point
My breaking point is I am becoming less enamored with the product
First, I do not like to read a movie, because it is in subtitles
I find fewer and fewer Class A movies — Most Netflix movies are weak in plotting
Series are fine, but most last way too long and begin “jumping the shark” to justify more shows
I like a series to cease after about 4 or 5 new seasons, because I know the plot will become harder to follow and plain weirder

The bottom line is Netflix is going to have a harder time
Jumping into joining lefty politics won’t help
I honestly do not want to know the CEO’s politics
I prefer a company making money, then the CEO can donate money to the “Al Gores” without telling me how “Caring” s/he is!

  2. I’ve never been able to justify owning it (to my detriment), but haven’t seen the Motley Fool promote it in teaser ads in recent years — it is the top-performing “teaser” stock of all time since it was originally used to entice Stock Advisor subscribers back in 2007 (at a split-adjusted $2.50 or so, it is up roughly 12,000% — we track all past teaser stocks at stockgumshoe.com/tracking).

NFLX is a Best Buy Now as of July 25th on David’s
side of the Portfolio. Stranger Things, The Irishman,
Non- Acceptance, Breaking Bad movie coming in next
three quarters. 2nd quarter miss is often followed by
    a 3rd quarter beat.
