Hi Travis
Recently you discussed some Mexican Fibras, which tickled my curiosity. I have been watching them for a couple of weeks now and decided today to dip my toe. BUT it’s not that easy being Canadian. I see that you dabbled in one with an OTC of FBASF.
I’m a bit more greedy and don’t mind a little gamble but don’t know how to find the OTC’s for the other ones.
Can you help please?
FIHO12.MX
FUNO11.MX
FIBRAAMQ12.MX
THANKS SO MUCH
Roy
FUNO11 is Fibra Uno, the one I own. I think FIHO12 is Fibra Hotel, which I see quoted at DBMXF OTC. The other one is Fibra Macquarie, DBMBF. Don’t know if there’s any liquidity in those (or skeletons in the closets of those companies). ProLogis also has a pretty big Fibra if you like that sector.
Thanks
I would stay away from Medmen even though it appears enticing . Top management has some legal issues going on. It is highly publicized.
Hi Travis
Can you talk a little on XXII. They are getting close to their FDA approval and I was wondering what you thought of the companies value after they get it.
Thank you
Cruz
Haven’t looked at them in a long time, but I wouldn’t be all that excited about the growth potential of their low-nicotine cigarette — they tried that years ago and it flopped, and that was before vaping became a real competitor for smoking cessation. The hemp business might grow into something, but it will probably be a daydream story for a long time, not one with actual financials to dig into.
That doesn’t mean the stock can’t do well, it catches the imagination of investors from time to time and jumps higher, but the path to becoming a larger and profitable business seems a bit fraught to me.
All that is just from a little catch-up reading on the business, I’m far from an expert — just an impression.
I just returned from Vegas. Poker world as it is. Every single cab, billboard, street sign etc. Is about a different MJ or Hemp product or dispenssry. Add to the mix that there are different laws governing residents from toyrists, Las Vegas is not the beacon for any particular company some think it is. I dont smoke but do use cbd products and have for about 6 months. I do recommend and am invested on multiple companies so this is not a condemnation of any kind. Just that there is far more competition out there than many are aware of.
Hi Travis – Great article
When talking about Charlotte’S Web and CBD, you mentioned CBD is a commodity and can be made by anyone. I know not “anyone” can make it but how do you feel about Valens Gro Works (OTC VGWCF) and Neptune Wellness? I don;t know much about them but it seems like CBD might be the play here and they both extract it.
Thanks!
Those have both come up in past discussions, I think, though I haven’t been interested in either. My expectation is that any profits made in the long term in CBD will be as a result of brand power and distribution… not cost of production or the specific technology of extraction. I could be wrong, but throughout the marijuana space I mostly look for companies that seem capable of becoming large national brands with good distribution networks.
I could definitely be wrong, but that’s my guess about what will drive the big winners in the end, perhaps a decade or so from now. Certainly lots of companies could make a name for themselves in the interim, and I’m not an expert on the products and could be entirely wrong about how the market shakes out, so I’m keeping my bets small.
I think Trulieve (TCNNF) is the best priced U.S. cannabis retailer at the moment.
Travis it looks like Arista Networks #ANET should be in red for the stoploss in the Real Money Portfolio
Oops, update error — sorry. Yes, Arista has hit a stop loss level a couple times this year. I have re-analyzed it a few times, so far each time I’ve decided not to sell — and usually to buy a little more.
hello Travis – is it FBASF – that you are refering to ? the stock you own .
Yes, I own shares of Fibra Uno, which trades at FUNO11 in Mexico and FBASF OTC in the US. Details of my holdings are in the Real Money Portfolio
Travis, have you seen Jeff Browns show on 5g Stock to buy? He list a number stocks to look in too. ie tsm,Swks, Not, glw
The most recent pitch that I’ve seen of his was teasing Skyworks, a reasonable idea if not one that’s likely to do anything dramatic this year — that has been rerun a bunch of times, haven’t seen anything “new” since from him.
Travis – Portfolio-your holding onto losing stocks USAU,WRTC,AOIFF,CTEQF,LGORF,
can you tell me , please , why ?
Because I think there’s a good probability of them increasing in value. I often use stop losses, but not always. If you click the name of those stocks on the portfolio, it should link to past articles where I ha e been more specific in explaining why I continue to hold them.
Hi Travis, Just looking at KMED, did you sell or stop-out of it, I couldn’t find any updates on it and I do not see it in the portfolio any longer? Do you think it’s still a hold for those that have it? Greatly appreciate your writing and clarity! Thank you!
