Travis- I had to dump a lot of stocks to pay down some debt. What few stocks would you pick to re-start a new play portfolio? Docusign looked like a good example. I have a stable base income from a pension, so really stocks for me are exactly like covering 4 squares with a number of chips on a roulette table, with some education added. I don’t need the steady dividend stocks to make a living.
Re: Apple and 5G, As a proud early cord cutter on cable TV, if I have a $7.95/ mo OneWeb, or SpaceX low-earth satellite wifi account in the future, why on earth would I ever sign up for a $50/ mo 5G phone, especially given the 90 lb weakling nature of the signals discussed here? I’d carry around a wifi box if I had to, and do nothing but wifi calling and data from an old smart phone. Why should I invest in NOK or apple or anything 5G? It seems like it’s pre-disrupted.
Travis you refer to Personal Capital above (“the first time that my portfolio has dipped below the S&P’s performance year-to-date for 2019 according to the tally by Personal Capital”) is this a portfolio tracking tool you use? When I look online it looks like it’s a portfolio management service? I’m looking for a good portfolio tracking app, any ideas would be appreciated from you or the group… thanks all.
Yes, they do offer investment management and advising but I just use (and like) their free portfolio tracking (and personal finance) tools.
Cool…I’ll check it out,
I’ve used everything from Yahoo, to Morningstar, to the original Google Finance tool, my own spreadsheet…and a selection of others. Exhausting. Thanks for the lead.
Thanks Travis for the IIPR update, especially news of 1st time insider buying. I too bought a few more IIPR shares in last weeks downturn.
