What is this company please with 330 patents on Dark Burst.

Anybody know what the “dark burst” solar panel company is that Money Map Press is pumping? [“After December 31st, EVERY new home built in California will have to have this device installed, and one tiny company…” :)]

I think it’ll be Humless Energy out of Liddon, Utah, because of their partnership with ABB and their DC-AC converter. I’ve reached out to them to see if it’s possible to invest in them. Since I did that yesterday (Saturday), I haven’t heard from them yet. Here’s a link to an article about them:

The description of Humless Energy technology doesn’t line up with the description of the Dark Burst technology capability of running any solar panel it is installed on, off of dim light from daylight pre-sunrise, post sunset and even moonlight. Looks to me like Humless technology as described in the above article is doing something different.

how can I invest in this product ASAP
So, I saw this today and have been digging. I live in Las Vegas and have been considering solar panels, but since Warren Buffet now owns NV Energy and we can’t be off the grid, I’m not sure. NV changed the laws concerning solar panels several years ago to help the state, not the individual. They steal the excess energy.

Maybe an interesting foray into an investment. I’m a riverboat gambler, but am skeptical. My thinking brain at work here:-)

There is a physical limit to the amount of solar energy that can be harvested: a power of about 1000 Watts per square metre if the sun is directly overhead, in the absence of any atmospheric absorption of energy. Then the efficiency of conversion to useful electrical energy is unlikely to exceed 20%. The idea that one can harvest a great deal of energy from moonlight is literally moonshine.
This said, there are companies which manufacture solar energy optimisers – an electronic device which allows a great many solar panels to be connected in series without the current being limited by that available in the lest efficient (or most shaded, or most wrongly tilted) panel. SolarEdge is listed on the NASDAQ, TigoEnergy is a private company.
These two companies probably have a stranglehold on photovoltaic panel optimisers.
But it is not in the least clear how one can collect large amounts of energy from the night sky; so it is anybody’s guess what company MoneyMap is plugging.
There is a way of tricking the inverter into thinking it is midday when actually it is the middle of the night. This is with a supercapacitor installed behind the solar panel. Surplus solar energy charges up the supercapacitor during the day, and then the supercapacitor discharges, providing energy to the inverter, at night.
But the device shown in the MoneyMap video did not look like a supercapacitor. At least, I think not.

At $83 per share from$30 in Feb looks like investors bought on the passing of the legislation.
Solaredge Technologies Inc is certainly doing ok right now but is it the “small company”?
I will be interested in the company, not just as a possible investment, but also to look into whether or not to add it to my existing solar system ( from SunPower) here in SoCal. My guess is that the contribution from moonshine is trivial (overall increase in power less than 1%) but that there may be something significant to be gained from a cleaver harvesting of energy during early morning and late evening when the energy is less than what the normal inverter requires. I can see where their might be 5 to 10% to be gained there.
Most likely an inverter product much like an Enphase IQ series microprocessor that takes DC input & inverts it into an AC output right at the source( each panel ) or a clever off-shore copy that is being promoted by some-one else. With a little zoom in one can identify that the Dark Burst promo unit that featured in the video is very similar in size & shape to the IQ series. It could also be a bigger push to getting the Enphase into the mainstream of existing crystal panel systems & newer installations to have their 3 unit storage battery systems used as an upgrade toa Solar panels system only configuration thereby promoting a more stand-alone & lesser independence on daytime only lighting requirements that a solar panel DC system can only provide.

It seems like it will be Enphase, but I think ABB group is more interesting, due to its partnership with Humless Energy, because Humless solved the AC-DV inverter conversion problem.
Could be, just remember that ABB is a $50 billion giant — more driven by global factory automation and electrical infrastructure projects than by any new tech or solar solution.
Enphase seems to have a good product but the shares are quite expensive looking at earnings, price to sales and average 5 year revenue growth at 6.3%. This seem unlikely to have any substantial price increase unless there is a massive increase in sales or some hidden factors.
Actually this is a new discovery to harness energy from dark nights from moon and this tiny company does exist and are making dark burst solar panel. This is a new discovery that may pave the way for 4th industrial revolution. I am aware of inventor and company , all I do not know how to invest in this company or whether they have a partner. If so who is the partner?
May be they are going alone.

Check the TEDTALK that talks about this technology. However I still can not see the Dark Burst kit that is being discussed here. But Tedtalk does mention the technology.. Need more research if this is actual company?

The touts of the Dark Burst device show pictures of what appear to be Enphase inverters, and they discuss the device as one for improving solar cell system efficiency. The skycoolsystems is pitched mainly for improving efficiency of coolin g systems, though they do mention small electric generation potential — but no “device”. So, I think the touts are either simply discussing existing
Enphase inverters (which perhaps have undergone some improvement worthy of shouting out to the world), or perfhaps they know of some new generation of Enphase inverters which do something truely new. One significant advance Enphase does talk about in their newer generation 8 devices is ablity to generate power to your home when the Grid is down. They must be incorporating some automatic cut off circut to prevent the solar system from trying to dump power out to a Grid that is down. My understanding is that all existing systems simply detatch themselves from both the Grid and your home, so you have no power even when the sun is generating it for you. When I inquired why it is not possible for my system to be disconnected from the Grid (either by an automatic switch or manually by me), I got fuzzy answers as to why it was not possible — I suspect it really has to do with power company rules about what they allow the solor panel companies to install connected to their Grid. While useful, it would not enhance the efficiency of the systems at night. I still think that if there is a real “Dark Burst” device, it is one that allows a large set of panels to generate some power even when the sun is not fully up in the early morning and late evening. Imagine a 20 panel system working at 100% mid day but which cuts off when the sun light is, say, 10% of the full value (when it is geneating 10%) – it totally cuts off because there is not enough DC power for the inverter do its job. Now imagine “rewiring” the 20 panels in some configuration that allows the inverter to function, albiet at lower wattage. So one could continue to get some power for awhile longer. This would up the overall average production. Why the word “burst” in the name? — perhaps because instead of feeding the lower output continuously, they do it with bursts of energy to supplement the Grid power. They might even be able to “trickle chaarge” for a long time under very very low light conditions, and then get short bursts of useful output.

This one was too easy.. just look at second patent they list in the promo.. enlarge it and you can decipher the number.. hit then USPTO website type purloined number in and bingo its Enphase

I just searched the US patent database and discovered that my ideas expressed in earlier posts were patented by Enphase going back to 2010. The latest being a Jan 29, 2019 patent no 10,193,347. Can not tell if those bust mode techniques are used in currently marketed Enphase products, or , perhaps, the Dark Burst touts know of some new generation product by them which does. In any case, either the company is Enphase or some new company is producing a product that will impinge on Enphase patents.
