written by reader _POTENTIAL_ lower GPU demand (if the new CPU deep learning algorithm)

By zippyd, March 8, 2020

This is not a for sure thing. But something to watch if you are investing in GPU stocks like NVIDIA (which I have used for many years). The use of the CPU has the potential to lower costs and cooling for deep learning. (Good for Intel and AMD and a negative influence on Nvidia). (NOTE: I have a friend at NVIDIA and I like GPUs for coding). But also for robotics, which for some projects cell phones are used (Misty Robotics for example).
