and stated it would be with 16 Amazons they were talking about AI at the time. Does anyone remember this ad and what stock they were recommending for this? Thanks https://g.foolcdn.com/editorial/images/499480/gettyimages-510674920_large.jpg[1]

  1. backoffice says:

It was claimed it would capture a 17 Trillion dollar market worth over 35 times what Amazon is
I made the mistake of saying only 16 Amazons

  2. tim1980 says:

Could it be Baidu (BIDU)? Chinas answer to Google, who after being leant on by the Chinese government (knocking their stock a while back) diversified heavily – including automated driving and ai? Even a little blog on The Fool https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/01/03/why-baidu-is-a-better-ai-stock-than-google.aspx

  3. Those generic AI ads have generally been used to tease Stock Advisor, with the “special report” stocks being Alphabet (GOOG), Facebook (FB) and NVIDIA (NVDA) — haven’t looked at one of them recently, but they often run the same ad and “special report” for years without any real changes if the ad is working.
