written by reader Blockchain, Bitcoin to replace Fiat?

By krinkle, April 21, 2020

Stansberry makes a compelling argument about the likelihood of International Currency replacement to Blockchain, Bitcoin, etc. in the recent addition of his ”Innovation Report.”
I have ignored all of Stansberry Solicitations and Come-ons for months; I am a subscriber of something of his, so I still get hit, which I typically delete. Today I had some time, so I decided to look – although I did not realize it was one of his videos. I sat through a lengthy presentation. (Perhaps my patience level was high since I had just finished a two-mile workout on the Stairmaster.) The performance captured my attention, maybe not on the present-day evolution of new companies priced at .02 cents a share, but conceptually, on the FUTURE POSSIBLE reality. I wish others would take a look and help me evaluate Bitcoin AND Blockchain as investments. I find myself going back and forth always. My most significant concern is that somehow, Governments will find a way to make it illegal. Yet, if they are all involved themselves, would they? Or could they? I did find the entire video educational.

Porter talked me out of Bitcoin in 2016. I sold the 20 that I had accumulated for a small profit. I’ve started to buy back since 2017 including many altcoins. Still waiting for the market to explode. But in the meantime I know a lot more about blockchain, how it works and why it can’t be stopped. They will try though, if you could make a bet on that you would have a winner!

Yes, he did change his mind and I heard him say it once. He met some early investors or entrepreneurs who explained the concept of Blockchain and apparently he saw the light. You don’t hear about the predictions that have gone wrong. Like $100 oil even with the shale revolution. Yes maybe some day but not in the coming years even when the US is going to bomb another oil rich country like Iran. Anyway, the best Blockchain investment at the moment is SQUARE ($62). This is what’s touted. NVIDIA ($290) for hardware. As for coins I would recommend BTC ($7500) and ETH ($194).
Let’s see next year if this was a good idea.

I just watched the infomercial and found it very convincing. I was probably 20 minutes into it before I realized it was an infomercial for bitcoin. I was about to sign up and then I recalled my own experience with cryptocurrencies. I bought some at one of the peaks, and it has gone down and stayed down for several months since then. I’ve heard that a problem with bitcoin is that it’s not scalable, so it’s not feasible for widespread use like the US dollar is. The more currencies in circulation the longer it takes for the transactions. The list of companies that will accept it was impressive, but I wouldn’t be able to spend bitcoins at the places I normally spend money. I bought a small book on bitcoin several years ago, but it didn’t turn out to be useful. This is also a small book. I wonder if its content any better.
