This seems to be the same basic offer as the first IPO[1], which was merged into Virgin Galactic, (SPCE). The new offering is listed as IPOC/U on the Schwab system and is up about $.10
Is it worth buying?
10:34 AM EDT, 04/22/2020 (MT Newswires) — Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp III, a new blank check company of Virgin Galactic Holdings (SPCE) Chairman Chamath Palihapitiya[2], said late Tuesday it priced an initial public offering of 72 million units at $10 each. Shares of the company will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and trade under the ”IPOC.U” ticker starting on Wednesday. The blank check firm said it will use the IPO proceeds to acquire or merge with a company in the technology sector, located primarily outside the US. The company also granted underwriters a 45-day option to acquire up to 10.8 million additional units at the IPO price to cover any over-allotments.
