Also the Fools seem to be expecting an AR device to be the next big thing for Apple. But mostly pitching for the companies that supply them.
More miracle cures!
That Apple pitch has been around for a long time now, mostly it has pointed to OLED.
You mentioned McDonalds in your $PAR commentary, I’m assuming you’ve read the recent news articles about a prospective meat shortage. Do you think that could disproportionately hurt fast food?
I’m sure a huge chain like McDonalds has priority agreements with suppliers but it could be another blow to local restaurants and other PAR customers.
That’s definitely a short-term issue, I wouldn’t overthink it.
SPRO, from Friday to Friday close has already gone up 39.4%
I refuse to invest in SPOT. I have tried to purchase three items from three different vendors on Spotify and they did not deliver. When I contacted Spotify, they said they would investigate, but did not promise anything. If I cannot trust their services and vendors, at some point if they do not control fraud better, they will come crashing down. Too much enthusiasm to short, but I really want to.
I posted earlier and made a typo with SPOT vs. SHOP. Sorry.
I stated that I refuse to buy SHOP (Shopify) because I do not believe in the company. With personal experience they do not seem to care if their vendors are real or fraudulent. So I would be more prone to buy puts on them, but I would certainly be in the minority. No way would I purchase SHOP at this price or any.
That could become more of an issue as they develop a shared marketplace, though for now they really mostly just sell software to anyone who wants it. Reputation will always be important, but there will also always be some fraudsters and some complaints, as there are with eBay and Amazon and others.

Hello old friend. Been a long time since I wrote in here. As a thank you for your many and valuable tips on stocks, please read Gumshoe article https://www.stockgumshoe.com/2020/05/microblog-non-opioid-drug-going-to-be-a-game-changer-in-osteoarthritis/
Very interesting non-opioid pain drug coming of age. Have a good day and hope that you are in good health.

Trade Note:
This is a fairly minor shifting of the deck chairs on the good ship Gumshoe, but it does involve a meaningful equity stake shift between Friday Files, so I need to update you as promised…
Today’s trades would mostly be described as a little bit of delevering, I used some of the rapid gains in a couple options positions to shift out of those levered options positions and use the profits to further build equity stakes that I envision holding for the long term. The most meaningful was a sale of my remaining Amazon LEAPs, which remain well out of the money, and the investment of much of the profit from that position back into Amazon (AMZN) shares…. and I also did a similar shift with some of my exposure to Fastly (FSLY) after an extremely strong quarter, shifting a bit of that position from options to equity.
Since I’m writing, I’ll note that I also had much smaller add-on purchases today of Intuitive Surgical (ISRG) and Brookfield Asset Management (BAM), though both were so small as I continue “Micro-Dose” buying that I wouldn’t have issued a Trade Note just for that (usually a Trade Note comes out if a purchase or sale is more than 0.1% of my portfolio).
More detail in the Friday File tomorrow.
