Cytodyn (CYDY)

Cytodyn (CYDY) is a stock that was discussed in depth here around 4 years ago. The company makes a monoclonal antibody called leronlimab (formerly known as PRO 140) which is a CCR5 inhibitor for treating HIV[1]. The BLA has been submitted for it and the FDA[2] has granted it fast track designation and a decision should be coming in the next 6 months. Recently CYDY discovered that by blocking CCR5 leronlimab can also block a cytokine called RANTES that needs to use CCR5 to enter the cell. This cytokine is believed to be the principal one causing the inflammation[3] in the lungs in Covid19. So CYDY is also pushing for leronlimab as a treatment for Covid19. CYDY seems like it might be a good speculative investment for those with high risk tolerance. I’ve put together some current resources on it:
